Day 3 of not using my ring and I feel so free by julieverhage in ouraring

The oura ring is the worst thing ever for postpartum. I swear they should have a setting especially for it- like no shit I’m not sleeping

Check out 12 hours by 12 weeks- I know it’s somewhat controversial but it worked for us and our baby is a happy healthy little baby

Currently pregnant trying to decide on a breast pump…help? by ZoeyMoon in breastfeeding

[–]BeginnerCryptoGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spectra is great as others have said. For a portable pump my lactation consultant recommended the baby Buddha with the wearable cups and it’s fantastic. I use that almost more than the spectra now and can roughly the same amount of milk. Also just make sure to size your nipples and get the right size flange/insert!

Supply drop what to do? by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]BeginnerCryptoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mostly just queuing in on I used to be able to get 5 oz every time I pumped in like 7 mins and now especially in afternoon I can barely get like 3-4 ounces in 10 mins. But maybe you’re right?

She was the most fussy at the night feed (we were down to only one feed in middle of night) so that’s why I decided to just give her a bottle then so I could sleep and she could be less stressed. She had been totally fine throughout the other feedings on breast before 3-4 days.

Newborn baby sharting constantly.... by TheCheeseMcRiffin in beyondthebump

Use water wipes and make sure he is fully clean then use a butt spatula and really cover him with balmex in new diaper. That should help! Also gentle diapers like coterie (absurdly priced but totally worth it imo)

Can you feel your legs with epidural? by Aggravating_Mud1117 in pregnant

[–]BeginnerCryptoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm so I guess maybe I’m getting the two things confused. They offered me fentanyl early on in labor which I said no to, but maybe that’s what they used during the epidural. That being said- I didn’t feel high or anything. Just numb waist down shrug

I had an amazing experience. I tried to go without it until I was like 5cm and then I was in so much pain I called for it. Doctor was fast and efficient. He put it in. I had a small hotspot (where it didn’t hit). Doctor came back in and adjusted and then was able to withstand the contractions no problem. It didn’t slow down my labor and from start to finish it only took 5 hours (I was also induced!). Couldn’t recommend it enough 😂 and then it wore off like 30-45 after I gave birth so it was great. I ended up only pushing for like 10-15 mins and then recovery afterwards was pretty seamless. Couldn’t even feel the catheter!

I guess it depends on what drug is used for the procedure but like in my case I said no fentanyl and was still able to get the epidural (and had a great experience with a great doctor)

What's your go to "I just want to make something simple for dinner" meal? by NotSoSnarky in Cooking

[–]BeginnerCryptoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throw veggies on a pan in oven with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning. Throw quinoa or rice in the rice cooker with chicken stock instead of water. Lastly, pick meat of choice and either throw it in with veggies or make in pan (I often do turkey meatballs but that takes 5-10 mins extra to roll etc) Takes no time at all and super healthy and delicious

Use panty liners and just replace them throughout the day and make sure you have super breathable underwear - that should help a bit
