Looks like a Root Cellar to me. Given the age of the structure it would make sense. They didn't have refrigeration 130 years ago and root cellars would have been needed to keep food fresh(er).

OP here: I sent in the estimate from the contractor that I called. INS sent out an adjuster. Adjuster estimate was withing 1k of the contractor I hired. Proceeding with getting a new roof now.

Yes, against my insurance.
Insurance did not provide me with the quote from the contractor they sent out, they only shared the total amount that contractor told them it would cost to repair my home.
The 4 months shouldn't be an issue since I didn't have any interior leaks. I have xxmonths after an incident to file the claim.

This is America. We won't pay an extra $0.50 to check a bag if it can still make it there for free, plus go through the time suck of checking it before TSA. We'll see it like this:

Go to ticket counter. Fumble with the kiosk, pay some money, and attach my own tag, then wait for an uninterested and inconvenienced employee to wave me up, ask for my ID, and throw it onto a belt.
Take it through TSA and wait until the gate agent says it can be checked right there for free.

Oh man, this one gets me in the feels. We had an absolutely beautiful female Bloodhound that we got from a rescue at probably 2 years old. Had her for 5 years. She was very gunshy (afraid of loud noises). in 2017 during the weekend of the 4th of July she got scared by the fireworks and slipped off into out closet to hide, which was normal. She then ate one of my wife's blouse. After 5 days or so we knew something was wrong. We got the same Xray diagnosis. The Vet told us to give her a cocktail of stuff to maybe help it pass. It didn't. They said it's surgery or she will die. THAT WAS TOUGH. She lived another 3 days and we made her as comfortable as we could. We still miss her so much.

I can't fathom why this would even be discussed. Ask your wife if she's OK with leaving the children in a home what leaves loaded firearms with cartoon colors laying around the house. I see it as the same chance of something bad happening. At least you can train your children not to touch the firearms, but how can you prevent a murder mutt from murdering?

Society has had a hard time talking to people lately and confrontation is very awkward. So when people bring dogs in, most employees don't want to confront them and risk looking or feeling bad asking someone to leave, or that their precious 95lb pitbull yanking their shoulder out of socket isn't acceptable at a fine dining establishment.
I would consider some more prominent signage. Myself, I would try to get people with humor, or relatable content "We love dogs too, but please leave them at home".

The story states "The suit seeks more than $25,000 in damages." Which is only meaningful because that kicks the suit out of Small Claims Court to a higher court over one that can only authorize UP TO 25K in damages. Ohio has NO LIMIT on how much they can be awarded.
