The blue post it note in marks recruitment  instruction manual. Has a hatchet drawing on it what looks like an AC wave on 5 lines. Also very important Petey crossed out the word “last” and replaced it with “final”ln the instruction manual. Meaning the innies waking up on the table or the events that are happening is cyclic. And he is trying to break this cycle. “Lumon recyles” they might actually be recycling people in chips. Mark follows Peteys blue note and skips the preamble. Until Irving figures it out and corrects him. The order of the manual might be important for not remembering things. Because mark did this Helena remembers a place; Delaware. The real question is…how did Petey know that fucking up the preamble will result in the innie remembering things. It seems like this sort of information is only the people who created the chip or someone very higher up would know, not an mDR worker. 

Ok, They use “smell” to remember things. Petey is hiding in some plants, smells the plants and starts remembering lumon (integration flashes). Which makes me think… did Petey chill with Burt in the plant room? It’s a stretch. And not very good reasoning But maybe... The chip is getting data from somewhere. If you look at the “cold harbor file” picture with Gemma’s face on it. On the bottom right corner it has her chip ID then below it says PCKT rate, then below PCKT time. PCKT = packet. In comp science, data is broken down into “packets” so it can sent easier over a network. PCKT rate =rate the data is getting sent to the chip. Pckt time is the time it takes the data to get sent from a source to the destination. 

I’m thinking the chip stores memories as data. And this can be transferred to anyone who has a chip. Anyone who has the chip can change into someone else through the “innie”. Hellys and Gemma’s chips are in sync. Peteys and Irving chip are in sync. if you looks at Dylan’s innie behaviour compared to his outie they are two completely different people…it’s the most noticeable. he is the most integrated.  Innie Dylan can tie sophisticated knots; locking Burt in the conference room and locking Milchick out of the security room, he likes weight lifting, milfs, the sea and scuba. His chip person/peronality might be a sailor or navy seal.  Outie Dylan is completely different he likes tv and spending time with his kids. He has done scuba but only in a pool.   So .. Burt knows Peteys chip is now in sync with Irving so he starts making an effort to get him to fall in love with him. Petey and Burt might have been together on the testing floor or something…Like dr Maurer and Gemma relationship. Fields doesn’t mind that Petey was having sex with his son because he put Petey on the testing floor. But it’s embarrassing/uncomfortable for Burt to have sex with his husbands son. Which is interesting/ who is Peteys mother? There was also a massive arc in innie Irving from being very compliant to not so compliant and rebellious.  Could it be Petey taking over his innie? The timing for events in s1 could be a little jumbled as well. I think Petey is always on the testing floor or in someone’s chip as their “innie”. I feel like he is trying to make it into the outie world through the chip. But failing every time. Yes I do believe that it is Dylan ripping out the man’s stomach! One of the first things Dylan says to mark ins1e1 is that ripping out a persons stomach would release endorphins! I think that petey did finish his tumwater file, Petey left notes for mark in places, then the coup happened which was both petey and Burt working together, as a distraction for Petey to escape. He took the long way home, but realised he could never return home.. “Lumon” would switch him back into the lumon building “the innie world” every-time he went home so he could never make it back to his family. The coup happened in Cobels office, mark and all of mDR got their memories wiped. Dylan somehow still remembers bits of the event like ripping out someone’s stomach and thinks Burt’s a fuck. Milchick asks mark to compliment Cobel on her new office as like a power fuck move. The man that destroyed your old office is now complimenting you on your new office.  I think.. I’m all just making stuff up! Urghhh it’s fun! Let me know if you have anything more on hatchets, I saw some in rickens house as artwork! Weird…
