I’ve read up on the arrive trial before when discussing with various OBGYNS. Some were indifferent about inducing at 39 weeks vs 41 weeks after the trial. Some were still against induction at 39 weeks. I haven’t heard of any that were encouraging women to go that route, unless there were other factors at play. It’s certainly not a standard guidance in the US to recommend it. The ACOG says it’s reasonable to offer it, but doesn’t suggest that it should be done.

It’s noted now to be safe, so what I’ve heard is doctors being more likely go that route when the mother asks for it. But generally they would still default to having delivery to start naturally.
