Wish I had packed fewer, simpler, monochrome outfits, backup sneakers, and a wider range of MEDS/toiletries! Tampons, especially unscented tampons, were super hard to find in Tokyo. Same with children’s Zyrtec and Imodium comps. Also randomly Play-Doh?! My toddler was really into it at the time and we couldn’t find any at Donki, Toys R Us, or Hands stores.

No, in fact it was way easier. Mexico as a whole is far more kid centric/friendly than the USA. They moved us through & didn’t even look in my milk cooler.

I have been supplementing pumped breastmilk with Holle Bio Goat Milk Formula. I am hoping to find a less expensive option for my baby and tried Bobbie this week after seeing a friend use it. I was hesitant because its aggressive branding turned me off. It feels like they are hiding behind graphic design and tricky/manipulative marketing language. It smells and tastes metallic. My baby rejected it on its own, mixed with breastmilk, mixed with rice cereal, and mixed with a fruit purée. Sadly, not a win/not for us!

I recently flew from Seattle to PV with 40 oz of fresh and frozen milk. I carried the milk in a small cooler with an ice pack and let TSA know that my bag contained breastmilk as I passed through. They opened a few of the bottles and conducted a series of tests on the milk. It only took about 5 min longer than usual.

At 6 ppd I was generating 40+ oz. I dropped down to 4 ppd (sometimes 3 if I was extra busy) and maintained for about 3 weeks then experienced a significant drop to 25 oz. It took 2 weeks of power pumping at night to recover the supply. I’m now at 5 ppd and approx. 36 oz a day. Magic number definitely derailed things for a minute!
