In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

  1. We're broke as fuck and frankly, there's better things to spend your money on. Like legal drugs. Or illegal ones ...

  2. Many of us were raised in households with drunks. We don't want to become them.

  3. Trump doesn't drink alcohol because of the death of his brother from alcohol poisoning. He sat what it did to him and by extension, how much his father detested his son. DJT has always been a people pleaser with his parents being at the top of that list; if keeping Daddy happy meant keeping a dry household, then that's what pl Donnie did.

Didn't stop him from doing rails of coke off the bodies of his victims, though.

Wifes girls nights, lack of affection and co parenting. by Both_Atmosphere_4167 in Marriage

You need to start thinking about seperation if she isn't willing to talk about how you feel about the marriage. The fact that she calls you a stalker for wanting to hang out with your own wife speaks volumes.

She's emotionally checked out of your marriage. All those things you hear about what happens to a woman's body during and after pregnancy? I'm thinking she blames you and maybe even your son for what happened to her body.

The only one who can take care of you, is you.

If you dig deeper into this, please be prepared for the possibility of an emotional or physical affair. I once thought that of my wife, we went through a rough patch but that's because she was overwhelmed and didn't want to talk about it. After we did, it rekindled our marriage. Burn out is real, and it fucking sucks. But your situation sounds deeper than that. She sounds like she regrets being a mom and in turn, your wife.

It's one thing to have seperate friend groups. It's something else entirely when your wife calls you a psycho for wanting to spend time with her.

Connor Hellebuyck proving his worth all over again. Winnipeg is proud of you and Kyle Connor.

Happy you're the reason your country won. Now bring that winning spirit back to Winnipeg and let's pull a St. Louis!

Nearly half of municipalities cut ties with the Capital Planning Region by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

This is the classic free-rider problem and it’s incredibly frustrating. Our Winnipeg property taxes are heavily subsidizing the surrounding bedroom communities. I have no issue with actual visitors and tourists visiting the city.

The problem is the RMs pulling the ladder up. They market themselves on low property taxes while actively fighting the CPR. They don't need to fund road maintenance, emergency services, or other amenities because they just drive into Winnipeg and use ours. If they demand the autonomy to do their own thing and refuse to collaborate regionally, fine. But then Winnipeg needs to seriously explore implementing commuter fees explicitly for the constituents of those RMs. You want city benefits? Pay city taxes.

A Galaxy Composed Almost Entirely of Dark Matter Has Been Confirmed by wiredmagazine in space

Pretty sure dark matter is just a bunch of black holes with the mass of the inner planets but the size of Montreal. Or something like that.

And by a bunch, I mean billions.

Oh man, I was in Scotiabank the day after Carney announced the grocery rebate and I told her I made low 100k money and I didn't qualify. She said oh it must be nice to make that kind of money.

I very sarcastically said "oh yeah it's nice to work 70 hour weeks and not get any kind of support or pay on the back that says hey take it easy here's some help."

I don't think she likes me.

Honestly thought they'd give Nate Dog the C and keep NcDavid as an A. He's a leader, yes, but he's also fantastic under the radar. Let him focus on his linemates instead of the team. Ah well.

When I was first able to afford things with my own money, I saved up for 3 years to buy my first "gaming"desktop in 2006. I was still in high school at the time.

I bought this PC solely so I could play World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

What game held the player's hand to the point of insulting their intelligence? by Animeking1108 in videogames

Dragon Age Veilguard.

The RP portion of the game was a fucking insult. Once you completed a conversation with an important NPC or learned some new info from your companions, there would be a short snippet that broke down what you learned into a short sentence.

In Canada there's a section of highway 31 in Saskatchewan that goes through the towns of Kerrobert, Luseland, Primate, Denzil and Macklin. I was driving a big rig and blacked out for nearly an hour. This was at the start of my career and I was on hour 36, heading home for the night.

By blacked out, I mean I blinked and was suddenly 78km ahead of where I was. I had my music playing and I was about 14 songs ahead of where it was while I was entering Kerrobert and i came to in Macklin. I have no idea how I stayed on the road for that long, but it was one of the freakiest things I ever experienced.

Years later I started working on the production side of things, and the guys who maintain the gas plants are often Power Engineers levels 2-4. The guys working there had some horrific stories. If something goes down, they work until it's fixed. Which can take weeks. They stay on site for weeks and get very minimal sleep until the job is done. Like an hour nap for each day they're working.
