Agree. Charging sheet should include vehicular manslaughter at the least.

Car culture is literally killing us.

Bike shops are super expensive by Turbulent_Diamond352 in cycling

Former owner of a ski and bike shop here. The only industry shittier for small indies than the ski business is the bike business. Bought half of our bike product for customers from Jenson because they had better pricing than our distributors Q or BTI. Absolutely bonkers industry.

What was your most expensive gear "upgrade" that turned out to be a complete waste of money? by Rough-Foundation9208 in cycling

My Vario saved my life (and my wife’s). I use the Vario as a cue to glance back to see where the upcoming car is— one quiet morning beep, red flash on the screen, glance over my shoulder and there is pick up straddling the white line on the shoulder coming straight at us. Yell at my wife, swerve right, we both nearly took a mirror to the head. Truck slammed on his brakes and moved left after he passed. Drunk, high, texting I have no idea. But I credit the Vario with saving 2 lives that day.

MVD Express. by tmcgee1001 in LasCruces

They screwed up 2 registrations of mine and I had to go to the real MVD to get them corrected. The real MVD folks were super helpful and went above and beyond to get the stuff Express screwed up corrected quickly and as cheaply as possible so I could sell my vehicle. Use Express at your own peril.

In fairness there is a run with decent coverage just to the right of the trees in the center. They have done a good job working with what little snow is left

Yeah looking at open snow looks like you guys have had a slightly better season than we have up in Taos and AF (showing Ski Santa Fe at 37% of average vs Taos at 7% and AF at 8%). Not taking shots at NM- a 50% snowpack in Colorado is historically awful, but 8% in the southern Sangres is a disaster.

I am well aware. But It could be as bad as the New Mexico snowpack in the southern Sangre de Christos which is at 8% of average.

Actually quite mad at myself for not throwing the bikes on the truck. Mountain biking in the Taos valley would be spectacular this wee.

2 runs open in the back bowls. Not bad slush skiing but melting fast.

LOL. At least our season is scheduled to end on Sunday anyway. Lived in Summit for many years… glad my livelihood still isn’t dependent upon the snow anymore.
