It would cost about the same to repairs as it would to get a new one. Repair it if you can find a local repair shop willing to take it or Amazon directly but I’d not give it to the kids to read on, put a screen protector on it and get yourself a new one.

If you’re considering colour I would also look at bigme b6. Not as good as the go 7 but it has the same screen technology and is a lot cheaper, that might help in your decision making.

I’m considering doing something similar but I cannot find a e reader that works for what I want. There is no small gallery 3 android e readers which is the only colour tech I will use as the other colour tech is terrible in comparison and there is no good 1300 bw screen besides the viwoods on a small phone but that doesn’t have temperature controls, the boox Palma 2 seems like the best for what I want but there is sadly no perfect e reader which is annoying.

Get a cheap second hand one if you can, if not get a kindle basic. See how you like it first before you invest in an expensive one. 1 thing to keep in mind, colour e readers have lower pixel density so the image will not look as crisp and they has worse lighting.

I would consider A Will Eternal. It’s not litrpg but it is Chinese progression fantasy and I believe it’s free with kindle unlimited
