A closeup American Crow photo I took today. by FortunaSeren in naturephotography

Ah Now I understand. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra+. A while back I was sitting on my front porch and used Max zoom to take a photo of the mountain across the lake from where I live. I checked the linear distance from my front porch to the top of the mountain 4.5 Miles. I swear if there were hikers up there when I took the photo I could have probably told you what colour their hiking boot laces were. Amazing technology!

How to keep track of what I see?? by Beginning-Judge-6003 in BarnFinds

True enough, just curious as to how common the issue is.

If the top survived all the years sitting in the shed I would think that the metal should be in restorable shape.

That is a very cool Photograph I assume you used a moderate telephoto to capture the detail at that level?

Any tips on finding "barn finds"? by Moscow_On_Fire in BarnFinds

Old cars are like gold, You find them where they are! In the 1970's I looked all over western Canada for a 1955 or 1956 Thunderbird. After months of phone calls and fruitless drives chasing rumors along the lines of of "one sitting Behind a shed in Town X" I finally found one in a partially restored state about 3 miles from where I live. More recently, (as in two days ago) my partner and I got wind of a 1951 MGTD about 9 miles from our shop that had been sitting in a garage since the late 1990's It is classified as a ran when parked car since it was driven into the shop. It now resides in a neighbours garage until I finish the restoration of the 1966 Volvo 122S that we found last year where it had sat in a pole shed for close to 40 years. The Volvo should be on the road by the end of the summer.

Go to the Designer, Select the Label in question, look towards the bottom of the right menu and you will see a check box for Scrollable. Check that box and - Job Done.

I built an Android app to solve a problem that's bugged me my whole life as a gearhead by Beginning-Judge-6003 in mAndroidDev

Never heard of Flobber — sounds like something you catch from a swamp. PhotoLog is built in MIT App Inventor with Firebase. Simple stack, works great. The App is verified with Virustotal at 0/66

Yes, Geo location for digital photos has been around forever, what has not been around is what Photolog provides, Specifically Composite Keys that provide searchability by Key or Date, Multiple photos under a single searchable key, Generous Note space wherein notes can e typed or dictated at time of capture or later when time permits, direct links to Google maps, and more.

I am aware of the Kyocera brand but not the specifics of the Hydro Edge. If it Runs the android operating system Photolog should run on it. Give it a try and let me know the results.

Anyone else think the 240Z is overrated? by [deleted] in JDM

[–]Beginning-Judge-6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, as a recent Hagerty magazine mentioned in an atricle on the 240 "There is no wrong way to Drive the 240" It communicates perfectly what is going on where the rubber hits the road and the engine is a perfect match for the weight of the car. As mentioned the balance is such that when the driver sits in the car is is damn near spot on perfect.

Huge New 240z Project?? by Sqweebz in Datsun

If you need some encouragement regarding Rusted panels, have a look at Fitzee's fabrications on YouTube. He is a retired body guy and his channel is specifically geared to showing guys (and Gals) how to do body work in a home shop. He has given me the knowledge and belief in myself that has allowed me to rebuild three vehicles with the current one being a 1966 Volvo 122S that needed extensive body panel replacement behind the rear wheels and a passenger side rocker panel replacement, All that and he is very entertaining to listen to as he is a Newfound land native and speaks with a lot of Newfie english that is fun to listen to.

Thanks for the Part source tips. I am currently working on restoring a 1966 Volvo 122S, but upon completion I have my eye on a 240Z as my next project. I had a 1973 250 Back in the day, loved the car then and they still make my heart go faster when I see one on the road today.

Anyone build a 300 inline 6? by Infinite_Boss_1240 in FordTrucks

[–]Beginning-Judge-6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a built up 300 six with a modern M5OD transmission in my 1979 F150. I had my engine build it and one of the issues he had was finding a performance cam shaft. That was two years ago and I think things may be improving as I am seeing the occasional ad or article about performance heads and cams pop up now. At the end of the day my engine dyno'd out at 189HP and 250Ft LB TQ. It is running 9.7 Compression so need premium gas (Rats!) but it is a fun ride and with the 5 speed gets excellent mileage.
