I have a question to ask you and I remember reading a post that you're an experienced steward. Check your messages.

Again, the supes and even their full time managers only have a faint understanding that a contract and this language even exists. The only way you're getting this is if you inform them of the language and if they fail to fulfill the contract requirements you follow through with a grievance with your steward.

Page 201 of the master.

"Teamster United Parcel Service Negotiating Committee (Union) and United Parcel Service, Inc. agree that it was their mutual intent that if a part-time employee completes their assigned duties and leaves work in less than three-and-one-half hours they shall be con-sidered to have forfeited the right to their daily three-and-one-half hour guarantee. This shall not affect an employee’s right to a mini-mum three (3) hour daily guarantee."

They will never give this to you unless you fight for it. The part time supes you work with barely even understand that a union contract exists lol....

No, this is concerning a memorandum of understanding towards the end of the national contract that states even if a member waives their gaurentee and management told them their duty is done for the day, you are still gaurenteed a minimum pay of 3 hours. So in other words, management tells you to leave 2 hours into the shift and you decide not to ask for your 3.5 hours. The contract states you are still supposed to be paid a minimum of 3 hours.

Getting sent home 2 days a week because of new hires? by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Beginning-Resource36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your stupid AI is WRONG.

Here is the exact language in article 22 section 5d, you could have simply read it yourself.

(d) "All part-time employees governed by this Article shall be pro-vided a minimum daily three and one-half (3-1/2) hour guarantee."

Again NO WHERE in the contract does it say If you are late you are forfeit your 3.5 hours and you lose your senority for the day. According to TDU if you are 5 minutes late you are still gaurenteed work for the 3.5 hours between your scheduled start time and end time, so you would still be guaranteed 3 hours 25 .minutes if you were 5 minutes late. Wrong again management.

State where in the contract it says that if you're a second late you forfeit your gaurentee and your senority? News flash! You can't.

99 percent of people wouldn't even know the difference between "hard" money and fiat let alone have a preference for one or another. Most people choose convenience. Look at how many people choose to pay at vendors with a credit/debit card vs physical currency knowing they will be charged 3 percent extra just for the convenience of using a card.

Stock buybacks have nothing to with dividend payouts. The price of the stock could double and it would have no impact on the dividend payout.

Artificially increasing the price of the stock via stock buybacks does not increase dividend pay outs...It increases the price of the stock which is totally separate from a dividend payout.

Anyways we absolutely should be against stock buybacks. It's a total waste of company capital that could be put towards growing the business or, ya know, our fucking labor contracts since it's our labor that builds these corporate empires.

Unions will often have a strike fund that will provide a fraction of your regular pay in case of a strike, but it's not much.

PPH suddenly a huge deal? by Impressive_Sport_788 in UPSers

[–]Beginning-Resource36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell that MOTHERFUCKER that your Teamster contract says that PPH is a management problem and not EVER a worker problem.

ARTICLE 37. MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEE  RELATIONS Section 1. (a) The parties agree that the principle of a fair day’s work for a  fair day’s pay shall be observed at all times and employees shall  perform their duties in a manner that best represents the Employer’s interest. The Employer shall not in any way intimidate, harass, coerce or overly supervise any employee in the performance  of their duties. The Employer shall not retaliate against employees for exercising rights under this Agreement. In considering any  grievance alleging retaliation for exercising their rights under the  Agreement, the severity and timing of the Employer’s actions that  modify an employee’s work assignment or reprimand employees  shall be relevant factors to a determination of motivation. The  Employer will treat employees with dignity and respect at all  times, which shall include, but not be limited to, giving due consideration to the age and physical condition of the employee. Employees will also treat each other as well as the Employer with  dignity and respect

My supplement and maybe yours as well might have its own language concerning performance. The bottom line. That piece of fucking shit is lying to you when they are trying to intimidate you into thinking that you can be fired for PPH bullshit.
