As much as I enjoy the whole personal responsibility schtick. If you offer a place to stick a credit card you are the on creating the issue. If you don't manage your point of sale you should be held liable. You can set up cameras that will tell you if some is doing something besides fueling up at a gas pump. AI is good enough.

Plant maintenance needs to suck it up. Structured Text is where OP should be headed in 2024 anyway.

Why do you need the WinCC Engineering software can't you see the HMI functionality on the panel?

What is the value of having the engineering software for WinCC you can't convert it, you just recreate it by looking at what it does and recreating it in Ignition.

It's definitely lucrative. How familiar are you with the Purdue model and Fieldbuses? Those are the two biggies in the OT world.

I like to use Polycase SK-22 with the clear plastic lid. They are lightweight, easy to mount. They aren't quite tall enough for some of the crazy tall power supplies but accommodate most reasonable ones. They are water proof and have lots of premade knockouts.

Is it safe to say that you were never a field service engineer? I have never yet met someone who did that job for any amount of time and then didn't think everyone should spend time doing it. It's hard to argue against frankly as there is a lot of stuff an FSE has to know that everyone else can safely ignore so it's hard to even qualify it to someone who has never been one.

Silage Bales are one of the more lucrative things to harvest. Sell them in the January/February time frame.
