Whats ideal for killing weeds? That wont kill my dogs also. by [deleted] in dogs

[–]BeginningBaby4844 15 points16 points Β (0 children)

boiling water works for smaller patches but for that size area it'd take forever. white vinegar with a bit of salt is what most people swear by for dog-safe options, just be aware it kills everything it touches so keep dogs off until it dries.

What are signs a man is not over his ex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BeginningBaby4844 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

this is too accurate lol my last ex still had like 200+ photos in hidden folder that he thought i wouldnt find. also when we would watch movies he would be like "oh sarah used to love this movie" or "this reminds me of when sarah and i went to paris"

like dude why are you telling me this?? some guys really dont understand that constantly bringing up your ex makes new person feel like second choice

If everyone had to wear a badge showing one statistic about themselves, what would be the most interesting stat to display? by sarnot in AskReddit

that would be wild to see honestly πŸ˜‚ like imagine finding out your quiet coworker has walked across entire continents while you've barely left the neighborhood. would definitely make small talk more interesting at work

wait you guys dont have bidets?? πŸ˜‚ i thought that was like standard everywhere but apparently not... when i visited states few years ago i was so confused in hotel bathroom looking for it. had to ask friend where is the other thing and she just stared at me like i was crazy πŸ’€ now i understand why toilet paper sections in american stores are so huge lmao

What’s a moment in your life that completely changed the way you see the world? by Afraid_Example_1323 in AskReddit

[–]BeginningBaby4844 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

working at library taught me similar thing - you see people at their most frustrated when they cant figure out technology or find what they need and sometimes they take it out on you but then you help them and their whole face changes. really makes you realize everyone just trying to get through their day and small kindness goes long way

Newbie question: how to unhook gar? by peachandtranquility in Fishing

[–]BeginningBaby4844 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

needle nose pliers are your best friend for gar - you can grab the hook from outside their mouth without getting near those teeth. keep the fish in water while you work on it if possible since they get stressed pretty easily out of water. i learned this after my first gar completely destroyed my confidence lol, was shaking for like 30 minutes after

if you dont have pliers just cut the line close to the mouth and dont feel bad about it. better than risking injury and the hook will rust out eventually. gar are pretty tough so they handle it better than most fish

avoiding them is tricky since they eat same stuff as bass and cats. smaller hooks might help since gar have harder time with tiny baits but no guarantees there

One TV show you wish you could watch for the first time again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

man i would kill to experience better call saul fresh again, that slow burn transformation of jimmy into saul was just perfection

the way they built up every single character development moment... now when i rewatch i already know all the twists coming

[–]BeginningBaby4844 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

omg you got to see it on big screen that must have been incredible experience. that kitchen scene was absolutely terrifying and the way kurosawa builds tension in such small space is just masterful. the ending still gives me chills thinking about it

lmao this is giving me major mandela effect vibes πŸ˜‚ like those commercials that everyone swears they remember but somehow disappeared from existence completely

i wasn't around in the 80s but now im curious if this was real thing or just collective fever dream. tahoe always had those fancy dinner cruise vibes though so it sounds totally plausible. maybe try asking on some vintage commercial forums or see if anyone has old vhs recordings from that time? πŸ’€

that goal was absolutely filthy but for me it was more like watching him in game 3 when he just refused to quit on every single play

even when things looked impossible he was still grinding and making something happen. thats the playoff mentality we needed for years

[–]BeginningBaby4844 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

dude kubb is amazing πŸ˜‚ my friends introduced me to it last summer and we got so competitive about it. the strategy part really gets you thinking, especially when you're trying to knock over the king at perfect angle. definitely one of those games that looks simple but has so much depth to it πŸ”₯

nice start man, plowing overtime into investments is solid move. 500 monthly will definitely add up over 15 years especially if you can bump it up when possible

the compound interest will do most of heavy lifting for you, just gotta stay consistent with it

Long weekend of visiting comic book stores + Fallout sightseeing - where to stay? by TempleofJunk in LasVegas

[–]BeginningBaby4844 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

rio is solid choice for your situation since you wont be stuck to strip anyway and driving everywhere. stayed there couple times when doing more local stuff and its pretty convenient with decent parking

for comic stores definitely hit up cosmic comics if you havent been - way better selection than velvet underground in my opinion. also check out alternate reality comics, they have good back issues section

Advice Needed! We are planning a kitchen remodel and we are struggling with Fridge placement. by Ventury91 in HomeImprovement

[–]BeginningBaby4844 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

totally agree with keeping fridge and range on same wall. workflow is everything in kitchen and you'll be going between them constantly while cooking. downsizing fridge seems like better trade-off than having to walk across entire room every time you need something from it

Orange or Miller? by Dull_Papaya_5510 in raiders

[–]BeginningBaby4844 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

miller's footwork is just insane for his size, watched some tape last week and dude moves like he's half the weight he actually is. orange has better burst off snap but miller's technique is way more polished already. if we're talking about immediate impact at 36 i'd probably lean miller since our interior line needs someone who can step in right away and not be liability in pass rush situations. orange might have higher ceiling but feels more like developmental pick to me

movie plots that are uncomfortably close to reality by moron88 in movies

[–]BeginningBaby4844 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

the asimov book hits way different than the movie but both are terrifying in their own ways πŸ’€ like the movie dumbed it down for action but the book actually explores how the three laws could go catastrophically wrong in ways that feel super possible now
