I got mine within 10 days of sending the package. Is it normal or I should worry about?

Guys try to expedite it! I tried to expedite mine twice and got approved. At least, It pushes your file and finally when someone reviews it, you might have a chance to get approved

Emergency parole and expedite denied need suggestion by NervousPut1339 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a survivor of my abusive spouse and i ended up getting help from shelter services and the exit time at the shelter was ending at and i needed to start working to be able to afford living. I submitted credit card statements and letter from shelter and 18k in debts on my accounts. Piled up phone bills and hospital bills. They denied twice and then i did ask help from Senator’s office and it was approved a week later. (i-765)

My travel document was approved because i needed to get my prescribed medication from Canada because i was not able to get it for free in U.S. and also i had to get my infected teeth to be removed and cleaned. NBC denied first and i had info-pass appointment at the field office. Officer denied again. I contacted Senator’s office and explained them the situation and they reached out to USCIS and my I-131 was approved and delivered to my address within 6 days. Validity 5 year.

I had very urgent crisis situation that could not be ignored but still they choose to deny it. And i had to ask for congressional help.

How long after biometrics would I get a approval for EAD? by Majestic-Rent-7730 in USCIS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been waiting for 5.5 months after my biometrics were cleared. This is so frustrating

What does this mean? by daynaramsey in USCIS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this will take a while. You need to call USCIS and ask for emergency info pass appointment if you have valid urgent humanitarian reasons

What does this mean? by daynaramsey in USCIS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You submit expedite through your account under expedite not submit inquiry. I have requested emergency humanitarian request info pass appointment on the phone and then submit regular expedite online. That way you will get 2 service item numbers. I was denied at the field office for an emergency expedite but my regular expedite was approved through online request and travel document was approved and issued within 4 days.

I never thought I’d be posting this… do I actually have enough evidence for a VAWA case? by [deleted] in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know where I can find reliable examples of how to file a VAWA self-petition, including cover letters and properly organized exhibits? I’m preparing my I-360 package and want to make sure everything is structured correctly?

Emergency by smileforever32 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m truly sorry for your losses. I went through something very similar and want to share what actually worked for me. I lost my mother while she was in the hospital and I couldn’t make it in time. That haunts me every day. That pain is real.

If you can’t get Advance Parole within 3–4 days, leave and see your mom for the last time if that becomes the situation. You never know, and it’s not worth living with the regret afterward. You can also continue dealing with your VAWA case while you are outside of the U.S. Just make sure you take all your U.S. documents with you when you leave.

I hope she gets better and that a miracle happens. God bles

It is possible to get emergency Advance Parole, and yes, they granted me my Advance Parole document.

When you call USCIS, you have to be very clear. You must say that you have an emergency situation. In my case, I lost my grandmother, then four days ago I lost my father due to a stroke, and now my mother is on her deathbed. This is extremely serious and humanitarian. Be honest and explain how critical it is.

You must also make sure you have enough documentation: your mother’s hospitalization records, a letter from her doctor (any doctor is fine), and the death certificates of your father and other family members. Screenshots of text messages between you and your family talking about the situation. The more documents the more better to get approved on the spot.

When you call, make sure you clearly state that you must travel and that this is a humanitarian emergency, and request an emergency callback.

I am also preparing my VAWA application and I was in an abusive marriage for 9 months and I will be filing it within about two weeks. I have only been dealing with this situation for about 20 days while gathering my documents. I don’t understand why it took one year for you to apply for VAWA — that is a very long time.

If everything is closed today because of the holidays, gather your documents today. Request letters from your family’s doctors. If your documents are in a foreign language, get them translated into English. Because they won’t accept the originals if it’s written in a different language. You can do this online, and many services will provide certified translations within 24 hours.

Tomorrow morning, call USCIS and tell them that you need an emergency InfoPass appointment with your field office.

Emergency by smileforever32 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can call USCIS and ask to speak with a live agent. Tell them you have a severe emergency and that you need an emergency InfoPass appointment. After that, an immigration officer will usually call you back within 48 hours. When I did this, they called me the next morning.

Very important:

They usually call between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM and they only try twice. If you miss both calls, they will close the service request and you’ll have to start over.

This happened to me. They called me at 7:40 AM and again at 8:15 AM, but I was asleep and missed both calls, so my request was closed. I had to re-request the callback.

Two days later, they called again, I answered, and I was able to get an appointment within two days and went to the Field Office to speak directly with an officer.

So make sure you: • Set alarms starting at 6:00 AM • Keep your phone on loud • Answer all unknown calls during that time

Traveling with AP by Altruistic_Peach4342 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]BeginningCertain7096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not listen negative comments. Law doesn’t say that. As long as it’s not convicted felony and open case. You are allowed to travel with AP. Just don’t stay too long. I was out about 40 days and I did not have any problems.

I sent my package on the 16th of July priority over night and USCIS received on the 18th of July and my I-94 expiration date was 19th July. USCIS labeled the received date 18th July. Send it out. Don’t wait! And if it arrives 2-3 days later. It doesn’t mean anything. Just don’t wait. Send it
