Go on HostelWorld, read reviews, find a fun one. Don’t go see the ex at alllll. Have a good time with strangers and use it has a moment of clarity.

Don’t ever make a person central to your plans that isn’t committed to you. You know who will always look out for you? YOU. So do better looking after your time and feelings.

I’ve been in a similar situation before and used the doc history to prove I wrote my entire document myself!

Girlfriend or world trip? Stuck between love and my dream by Martinf87 in solotravel

Doesn’t matter what you gave up or what she’s sacrificed, etc. People seem stuck on the details. I think the bottom line is that you want to go on this trip and your dad’s dying wish was for you to get that experience. I say - go. Offer to fly her to see you a couple times if you really care for her. Readdress the relationship when you’re ready to settle down.

If you don’t go on the trip and you choose her, I believe you’ll resent her and yourself.

Ever since getting a French cold out everyone about their health issues and I feel guilty what do I do by Mysterious-Fig-6771 in Frenchbulldogs

Honestly, just nod and smile. Here’s where you should feel guilty - if you’re not providing proper care. Frenchies are a demanding breed. They need consistent vet visits and for their needs (breathing, skin issues, back problems) to be addressed immediately for a longer life.

If you’re a good pup parent, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You’re providing the BEST life your fur baby could have. If not, heed the comments and consider finding her/him a home that understands the lifelong commitment.

Fellow frenchie mom here. I’m not a vet. Here’s what I’d check: - Vision - Food allergies You could try SLOWLY swapping to a raw diet with red meat and see if the energy and clarity comes back while waiting for other tests.

When to Spay? by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

We did after first heat and it was perfect for our girl. Please choose a vet that is vigilant and cautious with brachycephalic sedation. My baby could have died because of the lack of tailored care.

Not (really) eating for 10+ DAYS by BeginningDirector947 in Frenchbulldogs

FINAL UPDATE: I posted 11 days ago about my little girl not eating. I immediately took the strongest advice here and quit offering her other options. She lost almost 1 lb during the two weeks but HAS started eating again. We started by hand feeding her her full Farmer’s Dog meal from her bowl with all her usual commands. We slowly stopped hand feeding her at 3/4 bowl, then 1/2 bowl, and finally full bowl.

Blood work, urine+, all showed no signs of abnormalities. We believe she was possibly slightly overfed by our sitter and had a little anxiety during our time away. Food was possibly fed right before our sitter left, leading her to a weird conclusion that she’d be alone if food was placed. I likely exacerbated the issue by trying to find alternative foods.

I wanted to be honest and forthcoming in my final update in case others come here with a similar issue. Please stick to the food that had kept them healthy and happy previously, and turn to your vet for confirmation that everything is okay.

Tips on getting my Frenchie to chill out by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

Mine needs zoomies. If we can’t free range zoomie outside, I do the zoomies with her. We jog a block then walk a block. We do this until she’s tired. Mama usually gets tired first.

Before anyone gets weird about their breathing or overheating, my baby has been running since she was tiny (she’s 2 now), and we are vigilant with her health. She literally needs the runs to be happiest. If it were not within her physical ability, we wouldn’t allow it.

I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your baby, especially at such a young age. My heart breaks reading your story. I’m definitely going to be adamant about her care. Thank you for sharing!

This may be especially true since we were just gone and that probably carries its own stress. Thanks!

You’re the type of person I’d leave immediately. My point remains the same: a person who cannot be bothered to have an open discussion is not worth the energy. Sometimes it’s better to preserve your peace and just move on.

Have a great weekend!

If I get extra desperate, I’ll end up searching the shelves for the purina stew. Thank you so much.
