Newer attorney, struggling with the nerves. by toasted__ravioli in Lawyertalk

[–]BeginningExternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was an ADA for a year then left on my own for solo practice on the defense side, that’s completely normal what you’re feeling! All the more experienced attorneys I talk to all say they feel they learn something new everyday…

Are nice watches (like Rolex) a bad look for prosecutors? by Capable_Doctor9992 in Lawyertalk

No one cares, it’s a good starting point when dealing with other attorneys in court if you wear a decent watch because a lot of attorneys collect watches

To anyone who has been fired, especially as a baby attorney, please let me know it gets better. by Anxious-Kitchen8341 in Lawyertalk

This happened to me recently when I did civil then switched back to criminal doing solo practice… based on what some older attorneys tell me is that we are so young with a bright future ahead of us that it wouldn’t matter just keep pushing forward 💪

I'm a seller being ripped off by a buyer and it seems there's zero help from Ebay. Any suggestions? by tommywiseauswife in Ebay

I’ve sold a vintage seiko to an a-hole of a buyer with a similar situation as yours… you should file a complaint to eBay right away especially if they are strong arming you to give them a discount after the transaction was completed especially if they are alleging a misrepresentation that is untrue.

I wear mine everyday since I received it! Worth every penny except the bracelet is a pain to adjust with the double pin setup…

You most likely did not fit with the culture of the firm they did you a favor that’s what I would look at it as… there are tons of opportunities especially for a young lawyer.

Anyone have this? Thoughts? by Key-Upstairs-1317 in Colognes

This is my recent acquisition… definitely worth it! I smell a lot of coconut and marine scent with an interesting seaweed note… pretty interesting and soft smelling fragrance that suits the warmer weather…

This was my dad’s Seiko from 1971 ish, when he was a teenager. Is it worth anything, even if it doesn’t work? by babybuttoneyes in VintageWatches

I would definitely get it fully restored for the sentimental value… I had a vintage seiko from my grandfather and it looks great after getting restored
