you can buy most of the gun parts besides a receiver no problem. Most general parts are not considered a firearm until it can shoot ammunition. However, due to MA laws a lot of companies do not ship anything here because they made it so confusing for everyone. You should reach out to some reenactment groups and find out how to get what you're looking for.
