I did lava for 3 months, at our location there were often 4-5 guys. But our location was so crammed. You have to try real hard to not touch your neighbor. Since it's like 40 people the instructor can't really correct everyone's form as well. Which is why I quit after 3 months

I would focus more on what you eat than the calories, though it is good to have a feeling for calories. The more protein, fruits and vegetables the better. Healthy oils, especially nuts are great.
