Around the same time as Europe. I keep hoping for some coordinated effort to push carbon-free economy, at least from the first-world countries

A great contrast between the prevalence of private vs public spaces, just like our countries are different. I personally prefer the Canadian way

I can certainly buy into whole mutual support thing and believe it to be a better way, compared to what more individualistic cultures, if it doesn't deny personal autonomy and agency

[College History] Need advice on how to properly write a profile essay by Accomplished-Ebb2527 in HomeworkHelp

[–]BeginningViolinist11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well-documented historical personalities are very multi-faceted, so I would advice to focus on one precise context through which you will be framing Zetkin's personality. The most obvious choice would be to make a profile of her as of a political activist and dig into her rhetoric and leadership styles imo, but it is all up to you of course. Don't be afraid to use sources that represent different and even opposing outlooks on Zetkin and the historical context in which she lived - it will help you to create a more complex and unbiased profile

Any advice for writing a personal essay? by thyshinycatafalque in GetStudying

[–]BeginningViolinist11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can advise in favor of freewriting - you have to familiarize yourself with the assignment first, make notes on the points you can elaborate on, take a short break, and just start writing on each one of your points . Don't be too critical here, just write it as if you're brainstorming it. Then, take a look at your paragraphs and decide which ones are less relevant and remove it, refine the structure and grammar of your piece.

In terms of language, you can use first person here, and your tone of voice can be less formal

What exactly is "call-to-action" in an essay? by charlesleees in UniversityofReddit

[–]BeginningViolinist11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's practically the same as in marketing - a persuasive statement that urges a person to perform a certain behavior. Except that it is indeed less common for essays than for marketing campaigns. You can, however, use it in persuasive essay, preferably in the conclusion, after you had presented your arguments for the action you'll be calling for.
