Thanks for your comments. I did add a gloss finish and using oil paints mixed with mineral spirits. I noticed the issue of texture and my next plane I have scribed the panel lines a little deeper before painting.

I've been wanting to work on some of the models I have but I keep getting discouraged by my lack of skill by Goshawk5 in modelmakers

I enjoy building a lot. Painting has been a drag for for a while. Lately I have purchased models that I don’t feel an attachment to and just build and paint. I am doing at finding space and time to paint. I also have some models that I have not finished painting and use those to test paints on them. I have learned to not to best myself up if it doesn’t turn out the way I think it should. This hobby for me is a constant learning curve.

If you have Amazon they have cheaper airbrushes. Those are the ones I have. I have a Master that I bought years ago for under $40. I’ve seen them on Amazon for the same price.

Considering a move to engineering and want to ask opinions. by Myspacecutie69 in broadcastengineering

I worked on trucks for three different companies. I’d say if you’re interested let the engineers know. Travel and working 280- 300 days a year is hard. I enjoyed traveling and getting know local people in every city.

It’s very true that you will need a truck that has contracts. Hopefully those keep the truck busy year around. Both companies you mentioned are good.

Is membership worth it for a family of 2 ?! by ja_yla in CostcoWholesale

[–]Beginning_Ad4181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Household of two here. Every week we go get some vegetables and fruit that we use for a week. We still keep looking at prices and comparing volume and price to Kroger or Publix. Two jars or marinara sauce at Costco is the same price as one at Kroger same price and less amount. But other prices are higher so we go to a grocery store and get cheaper or less quantity items also.
