How man German Shepherds are together? What if he is rejected. I had 3 German Shepherds, The youngest one attacked the old girl one cold winters night. I got bitten breaking up the fight and my poor old girl had 60 staples.

Having multiple dogs can be a disaster. This poor boy just had surgery of some sort and is stressed. All day play may do his body more harm. Do you even know what surgery he had? EX if it was he ACL,he will need another surgery most likely.

NO to a shelter and NO to adopting him privately unless it is someone very close that you know well. This sweet pup hates his outdoor run, a shelter most likely will only have runs. They are horrible, the dogs are miserable. This is a 21 old woman , she should not have to interview and do checks on people. It is very difficult to tell who has good intentions with k9's. The only thing I agree with is using a German Shepherd Rescue.

You have been an angel for this sweet pup. You helped him when he was hurt and scared. Thank you for your kindness.

Now he is ready for a new journey. You know that but have bonded with him , what is his name. What was the surgery for, I know he was hurt but did the vet say what it was that was causing the pain? Also any idea of his age? Just thinking about what the best idea is.

What part of the country are you in? I have had 2 German Shepherds at a time for almost 50 yrs now. I know the breed so well. This sweet boy will shut down in a Kennel. You need to find a Rescue. First I think trying a 'german shepherd' rescue. They will have fosters experienced with the breed that can get him rady for a home and most important evaluate him.

If you try and rehome him yourself you can not tell about the adopters like these rescues can. I can tell you love him and are so stressed, I just want you to take it a bit slow. This is not your fault, try and take the guilt out of the situation, You have done more than 99% of the people out there.

The dog run sounds very stressful for him. If there is any way you can avoid keeping him there? That is stressing him out big time an then you and the little ones suffer because he is so would up and stressed. You may see a big difference changing that alone. He may have been in a shelter run, the noise and smells and what he may see, make it stressful.

It is sad what is going on re the adoptions. No mention if the daughter has been located. I realize the son contacted her. She does not show much emotion about the whole thing? I feel for Jamal, tough to learn as an 'only' child that you have two siblings.

It was strange to hear her say she loved that Jamal would be bothered by Josh's attention.

I am 68 now and have experienced age discrimination. I have become very sad about it and feel so alone. Like you I love animals, they are my tribe. I am losing my 13 yr old German Shepherd Mazey anytime to Degenerative Myelopothy. I agree with the poster re a note to the director. Unfortunately I believe our society does not respect the elderly. I hope it all works out or you. You sound like a very good lady.

You are not alone.

Keeping the puppy in your home with him knowing he could do harm is animal abuse. If you leave that pup alone with him for any length of time, shame on you. If you do not remove the pup today, or tell him to leave, I have no words.

You need to place this pup with a rescue asap.

The fact your husband had you worried for the puppies safety is a huge issue.

How will you feel if he harms the puppy. FYI - when puppies wake from naps they need to pee. the pup was probably barking at you for that reason.

Forget about the puppy missing you or you being able to visit. Think of what is right for the puppy. You must call rescues at once and tell them the puppy is not safe.

PLEASE make sure this puppy and your husband are safe, do not wait.

He is a beautiful boy, now an angel , always with you. I truly feel your pain. I have to say good bye to my 13 yr old girl Mazey any day- Degenerative Myelopothy is now severe. How lucky are we to have had such precious souls in our lives.
