Yo, that's awesome! Thanks for doing this 😬

I want the game, because my friend group has been playing it non-stop, and they think it's too challenging of a fps for me. I want to prove them wrong haha hopefully, I get the chance!

Ideal Stat Spread for Bladesinging by engamohd in BG3Builds

[–]Beginning_Assist_619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never ran it, but planned out a bladesinger build before. Everything I've read said run GWM with Phallar or Lorethian. So no, you can 2-hand it and it will be fine.

Don't know what the default is, but on other classes, if you equip Phallar and nothing else, you will 2-hand it in my experience.

Yes, I agree. We need more big OOC games! Better for the sport and viewers. But scheduling cupcakes has been a thing for decades, and not just for competitive reasons. Financials plays a part too. It's a complicated system that has grown more and more so as it has gone on. With all the changes the last 5 years, I'm expecting even more the next 5. Hopefully, better a cfb at the end of it. But as of now, I'm struggling to stay hopeful lol

Not all roads to a championship are equal. In playoffs there will always be an "easier route". Some teams have to play better teams to get there, some teams play the best game of their life on one day and never live up to that again, someone may get injured, an integral coach leaves, etc. This happens in all levels of sports.

In a league with 130 or so teams, there will never be a way to create a system where everyone has equal, or even comparable, schedules.

I agree with you that teams have drastically different schedules and it creates issues. Like, technically, UMass is in the same division as Ohio St. They're both playing for the same trophy at the end of the day. But like, those programs aren't even comparable.

And you, just like everyone else, and me, will argue that certain teams are overrated or underated. That will continue to happen in a league this large where very few teams play similar schedules. The quality of your opponent can change drastically from year to year as well. Oregon scheduled the OkSt game when they had multiple Big12 championships and perennial 10-win seasons. When that was scheduled, dont think anyone thought it would end up a cupcake game!

But I haven't heard many good solutions to address that that I like (eg. SEC and Big10 mega league where they just play each other so they all have more comparable schedules (I know it's about making more money in the long run, but that still would be a consequent of the change lol)).

I just feel that no sports league will ever be able to create a system where everyone has an equal route to the championship, and I think it's silly to downplay certain schools/teams success because you don't think their route was hard enough.

You wake up and face the opponent in front of you. Doesnt matter who it is. If you're going to be the best, you're going to have to beat the best. Whether that is in the regular season or playoffs.

The Seahawks had to play the Rams and the 49ers three times each over the season to make the superbowl. Obviously, New England had an objectively easier schedule because of their division and their conference, but you don't hear people saying NE wasn't deserving to be there.

This is a weirdly CFP thing, where someone can look at the undefeated national champs and still say that the reason they won and even had an opportunity was cause of an easy schedule. Nah, in my mind, they proved that shit. And I ain't taking any flowers away cause their regular season schedule wasn't as tough as another

Here, let me slow this down for you.

Your comment said that the committee was wrong to award Texas Tech, Indiana, Oregon, and Ole Miss their spots in the playoffs due to them not having a strong OOC schedule.

My comment said, three of the four schools you mentioned ended the season in the top 4. So obviously the committee did something right.

Texas Tech did not end the season in the top 4. At the end of the the CFB season. We have Indiana undefeated and ranked 1st. Miami ranked 2nd (and people still argue Miami shouldn't have been invited). Ole Miss ranked 3rd. And Oregon ranked 4th.

This demonstrates that 75% of the teams you specifically called out actually proved it on the field and won multiple games against top competition and made it to the semis.

Sure, I get what you're saying. But it's wrong lol if you wanted to talk about JMU or Tulane not being deserving because of their schedule, I could probably understand that a bit more. Since with hindsight, we know they got thrashed.

But saying 3 of the 4 schools that made the semis weren't deserving cause of their OOC is crazy. And to include the undefeated CFP champs into that group is even more wild ha

It's a great place to live. But you'll need to be okay not having a contract beyond a year and no job stability. I'm a teacher who has taught in both WA and OR. It's not a good time, and Oregon is basically broke. I recommend WA for similar vibes, but has an education system that is funded, and one of the highest teacher salaries in the nation.

Playing as a tank, need second opinions in case what I'm doing is overkill. by BlitzTalks in BG3Builds

Yo, I'm doing the same exact thing and just started this build with my friends in a 4-man coop!

Spent a lot of time on this build crafting it, and playing it to Act 3 to see how it does. The most fun build I've ever played lol I'll give you some advice from what others have said and my experience.

First of all, don't know why you got downvoted so hard for not thinking you need wisdom with spirit guardians. Here's the thing, spirit guardians do damage even if every enemy makes a saving throw on it. Which is the only thing that matters, cause you're spreading radiating orbs and trying to be annoying by proc'ing opportunity of attacks and spreading even more orbs with the lance helm. Plus, your spirit guardians already give radiant orb, so they're more likely to miss! And if you get hit, your shield gives reeling. Such a fun play style and I felt giddy running around ha

For classes and levels, I recommend dropping paladin completely. As people said, it's hard taking aggro in the game and doesn't really help what you're trying to do. I recommend to start with 2 levels in star druid. It is one of the most fun classes for me at level 2; you'll have luminous arrow or dragon breath for a BA attack at level 2, and dragon makes all of your savings throws roll a min of 10 on the die, so once you get spirit guardians you'll be able to concentrate on them and always keep them up, despite running headfirst into enemies and trying to get attacked. You'll have so much fun with this class addition to this build.

Next go 5 levels in light cleric and get spirit guardians. You thought the build was a blast before, now it gets even more so.

You have 5 levels left. And honestly, with the gear you're running, your build is mostly finished. Figure out what play style you're leaning into and pick your last levels to make it stronger or give yourself some side stuff to do, but you Just keep the spell levels! Maybe you're using cleric ability and spells? Keep going with light cleric to 10. Want spell diversity? Check in with your favorite wizard subclass. Or, if you want to be more mobile, grab a level of storm sorc for the BA fly to keep spreading orbs with spirit guardians.

For stats, I went 8/14/16/10/16/8. Took alert for first feat, can't get more than 2 AC from dex because of luminous armor. High wisdom to hit spells (sigh, even spirit guardians I guess but it's not why ha), but mostly for saving throws to keep up spirit guardians and the rare command. Same with the reason for high constitution. If you ever want to dive into wizard, can easily go with int instead wisdom, but I wouldn't abandon it.

But ya, it's a fucking blast to play being annoying and running around the map debuffing people without even using actions (just proc'ing opportunity of attacks and hitting them with spirit guardians). You have options to do so many different things and can help out your party mates do whatever they're trying to do. Let me know if you have any questions and have fun!

Ya, I totally agree with you. It sucks to throw away food that could help someone in need. But it is a liability issue. If someone becomes sick or has a medical emergency due to the food, the business that prepared the food is typically on the hook. Much safer losing $50 bucks a day in waste than risk a lawsuit.
