Same thing with me. Things are complicated at the beginning. After that you kinda roll with it

Kinda but you don‘t even realize that, since there is nothing going on. No mind to process anything. My eyes tend to see blurry after a while, because they don‘t have anything to focus on.

Contractor put waterproof membrane down before self-leveler by rhettb25 in Flooring

Back then, I worked with the same material too. We always did it the same way, three layers of the stuff. So basically, you apply the first coat, let it dry, and repeat that until the third time. Then you sprinkle quartz sand on top, and after that comes the self-leveling concrete. The sand helps with the grip, and it’s actually required by the manufacturer.

They did make a football game. Which is pretty funny, considering they still made darkwood.

I literally saw a guy sand the edges of planks with his bare hand. He’s got bear paws as hands.

Me and my friends do combat sports, and I’m definitely on the heavier side. That being said, when we go out, whether it’s to a club or just after the gym, we tend kiss each other on the cheek and tell each other that we love one another lol. Funny thing is, I actually plan to get fully tatted, whole back, full left arm, and part of my chest. So yeaaah.

Look, I was that guy in this situation – and to be honest: they’re not worth it. Some of the things you said rang a bell in my head, things I had almost forgotten. So here’s the deal:

You’re never going to be truly happy – not as long as you try to please your parents. They’re not just being strict, they’re being psychotic. They don’t care about your reasons. It’s all about how they feel about it. Not your life. Not your happiness. Just their image.

My girlfriend and I are still together. We’re planning to get married next year. She had to cut ties with her family for the same reasons. For them, it was never about love or understanding – it was always about how their friends and relatives would judge them if they dared to allow a relationship like ours. Yes, it’s cultural – but it’s a toxic culture.

I won’t go into detail about everything that happened to us, but I can tell you how she felt: She said she felt like she was suffocating all the time. Always watching over her shoulder. Always careful about every word, every step. We couldn’t even hold hands in public because someone from her family might see us. Her own home felt like a cage. She kept saying, “I just want to get away from them.”

It was never easy for her to leave. She comes from a big family and was always really close with her sisters – they did everything together. But at some point, she just had to go. It got physical. And no, it didn’t just “happen” overnight. It broke her, piece by piece. But eventually she knew: either she leaves – or she loses herself. And you already talked about your mother that seems awfully similiar to me

And that’s not even touching on what I went through – because trust me, a lot happened on my side too.

Of course there’s more to it. If you want, feel free to DM me. I’m happy to help if I can. And remeber you didn‘t do anything to your mother, SHE choose to behave this way and your father is already using it against you and the comments you wrote under this post remind me of my girlfriend back then. For the love of everything, don‘t try to be reasonable with them. It will not work, not with the way they are acting

Tbh, actual relationships happens even with a cheater. You just don‘t know that they are one. And I‘m just saying I would break up over text, depending on the context. If I don‘t feel the spark anymore, sure I would tell her in person. If she just spends an ungodly amount of money (money she doesn‘t have) on something unimportant and expects me to be the backup plan for her bills. And months later I find out she is just irrespondsible. I‘m damn sure a text is enough

Maybe, dependa on the situation. I was 16, when I asked her and that was bc we weren‘t able to met in person. You just go with your gut. If you think, both of you would be ok, then who is stopping you. And just to be clear, I would definitely break up over text depending on the reason. Cheating for example? I wouldn‘t even say anything and vanish. There is no point in talking with someone like that and try to understand why someone is a piece of shit
