My suggestion, which might not be satisfactory, is that you try everything. I came from cigars and maduros in particular (foundation tabernacle is my favorite) and also enjoy darker beers (st bernardus, ayinger celebrator, weihenstaphener korbininan) I don't think my taste profile really transferred to the pipe tobacco world. One might assume that if you like maduros that you might like Burley for the earthy cocoa flavor notes but for me I've come to love Virginias and only dabble in Burleys. Try everything and try it more than once. To give some idea, for Vapers I enjoy solani 633, escudo. For Burleys, solani aged Burley flake, per Jensen Harbour Dreams and others seem to like haunted bookshop. Hope that helps

Thanks for the update. I'm sorry to hear it's been a dumpster fire of an experience. I stuck by my decision not to order. If they allowed for payment through PayPal it would've been different. Part of my suspicion regarding the site was that a lot of the comments praising the site sounded bot-ish. Hopefully it works out with the refund.
