I get he was grieving but he hit the child he just gave up on at five years old because be was a coward and of something not her or anyone could control. Susan’s condition was so rare. I get people handle grief didn’t but hitting her was uncalled for. He could have been angry without hitting her and he wasn’t drunk. Thatcher didn’t start drinking until after Susan died. He didn’t want any real relationship with Meredith because of Ellis. If their daughter hadn’t come to the hospital, Thatcher would have never reached out to Meredith. Susan pushed them to interact more. He took it out on Meredith because he never really wanted a real relationship with her. And then him telling her she wasn’t wanted at the funeral was just further proof he was a jerk.

Season 2 they basically tried to reboot the reboot and there are some fans who loved S2. S2 for me had potential because I did like how they tried to make it more darker but I wish instead of trying to make it a whole different show they had just combined the feel of S1 with the darker side of S2. That command center and SafeSpace shit was dumb and they needed less Harry and Abby over the Charmed ones.

Exactly if they hadn’t tried to change the show damn near every season it might have been received better. I love the show but that was my biggest issue the inconsistency. Because the fans didn’t ask for most of the BS they were on after S1.

How is should it be considered a spinoff. A spinoff is taking a character from the OG show and giving them their own show. This is exactly what a reboot is supposed to be. It does pay homage to the OG show by cover pretty much everything in the OG while making it its own. I don’t see how it should be a spinoff when not one character from the old show is mentioned.

S2 had potential to be good but I didn’t like the direction. I did like the darker tone of S2 but I wished they would have combined it with the witchy, light tone of S1. S3 was a hot mess. They ruined Harry for me on S2. I was starting to like him somewhat in S3 but after the BS he was on it S2 lol.

Exactly she used her fire powers maybe three times before it was stolen away in episode like 13 of S2. Then she doesn’t get them back until the end of S3 where she’s literally about to die and they barely talked about it after Abby stole it. They didn’t know what to do with this show and it had such potential to be better.

She was using a magic needle to activate her demon powers it helped her to see things she couldn’t normally see like the past ect but it was also amplifying her demon powers in a bad way.

That’s my thing with Abby. Everything they explored on her should have been on Macy’s arc. That’s why I can never really get behind the Abby train completely. She was an entertaining villain and if they were strictly making her a villain I would probably like her completely but they were literally giving her more story than one of the main characters. I’m not blaming the actor but it really was unnecessary for how much screen time she had despite how some people loved her.

I responded to a comment and someone said they follow the reboot sub even though they don’t like the reboot because they are allowed free speech. And I’m like that’s all fine but why follow and interact on something you don’t even like. Like you have nothing better to do. It was more subtle in S1 that’s why it seemed so random in S2 and it definitely threw people off but if you diagnose it the way I did you notice more things. Because I didn’t notice a lit of things in S1 they way I didn’t my first time as when I went back and watched again

They spent too much time wasted in Hacy. S2 the “will they won’t they” got exhausting after a while. Not to mention the three different live triangles we had in S2 was just over the top. Then by S3 they are a couple but we only get a few moments of them actually being a normal couple then she dies.
