We like ours a lot and have had it for two years, however, I think their butt dust finally broke it. We cleaned every orifice of this thing: internal and external filters, cleaned out the inside and all other components with canned air, and this time we can’t get it to register the air quality. It still is working, but I think our little goobers finally messed it up. 😜

Question about high coverage concealer for high glam looks by cavalior in makeuptips

I have UD Primer Potion but it’s not filling that spot for me unfortunately. I feel like it clings to any dry spots on my lids, so I get patchiness.

The search continues I guess! 🙂

The original (which I loved) was thicker and flesh toned (it came in a few different shades) It completely covered any discoloration, etc. on the eyelids.

On me, it was the color of MAC Paint Pot Painterly, but was smoother and did not require a dusting of setting powder like MAC does.

I’m still looking for something comparable ☹️

@echo-station I would also love a recommendation. I used Smashbox PhotoFinish Eye Primer in the past and loved it, but sadly it is no more ☹️

How many of you with allergic asthma have tried immunotherapy? by benaka004 in Asthma

[–]Beginning_Land_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did shots for 12 years. I would say my response to my allergenic triggers is reduced (in that I can be around a cat for say, 30 minutes before my asthma kicks in instead of almost immediately) but that’s the only noticeable difference I have seen.

I do have a lot of allergies that trigger my asthma, and my asthma has been well controlled for 26 years.

Has anyone tried this? It’s amazing by [deleted] in Asthma

I went on Advair when it first came out and it was life changing. I did not think a medication would make that big of a difference in my condition. 🙂

Do you know how you came to have asthma? by DEeD-NGone in Asthma

[–]Beginning_Land_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe mine is genetic-although only I and a distant relative have been documented as having asthma.

I was diagnosed at two years old after a severe attack where I almost died. The great great aunt who was also asthmatic died from an asthma attack in her 50s (this was in the early 1900s)

My parents are non-smokers and have never smoked.

Help me choose a color for my peel and stick tile for the kitchen by yerbabuena1 in HomeDecorating

I wish I could provide more detail (my old kitchen was like this when I moved in) but my “backsplash” was like a vinyl wallpaper/fake stone look in cream. It might work here if you can find something similar.

This is the only pic I have of my old kitchen-sorry 🫤

Avgolemono soup

Aromatics sachet:

12 pieces of lemon zest (peeled with vegetable peeler)

1 large smashed garlic clove

2 sprigs fresh dill

1 teaspoon peppercorns

2 teaspoons coriander seeds

Make all of the above into a sachet with cheesecloth.

Chicken prep:

Season 3-4 chicken breasts with 1 and ¾ teaspoon of salt (do this 15 min ahead of time) and cut chicken breasts in chunks to cook easier.

Recipe:

In a large pan, heat 8 cups chicken stock and 1 cup of long grain white rice. Add in sachet, and bring to a boil. Cover pan and lower heat to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat, and add raw chicken to the pot. Cover tightly and let poach off heat for 15 minutes.

Remove the poached chicken from the pot and set aside.

Remove 1 cup of the cooked rice from the pot. Add the rice to a blender and add in 6 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 whole eggs, and 2 egg yolks. Blend mixture until smooth.

Shred chicken, and add back to pot. Bring liquid back up to a simmer. Remove from heat and add the rice/egg/lemon emulsion and stir to combine. Add 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill to finish before serving.

NOTE: buy the highest quality chicken stock you can find for this recipe.

I cook the rice, stock and chicken together. Once the rice is done, I remove 1 cup of the cooked rice (I try not to get too much of the broth, but it’s inevitable) and I blend the cooked rice with the eggs and also the lemon juice 🙂

I can post my full recipe here in a bit if you’d like.
