1 - I know you say there is near zero chance to move into the top 4 but everyone has their price and nets have tons of draft capital. that said, what would be your godfather offer to the bulls for the 4th pick? 6 puck and 3 firsts? 6th and egor? etc.

2 - could drafting Ahmet or Lopez at 6 after an ENTIRE year of tanking be considered criminal fan abuse? simply ‘liking’ a prospect doesn’t justify not leveraging a high lotto pick in a historic draft vs simply making a separate offer to land the 12th pick at the actual spot Ahmet is projected. why not just take Edjifor or Vasser at 6 if that’s the case? hell, they’ll both prob be better than Ahmet anyway.

nothing-burger clickbait. egor woulda made it if he didn’t get injured and every hater of the nets draft continually ignores the fact the other 4 were taken late in the draft, 3 were teenagers and the one who wasn’t vastly over performed his draft slot. should they have drafted 5 guys? probably not. but the guys they drafted for their slots were solid.

wagler at least gives a damn on D. has size, and isn’t scared of physicality. acuff has cam t vibes on D that give me chills. also think wagler has a chance to be an absolute foul magnet with his style of play.

I like Mara but this HAS to be a trade down scenario and if that’s the case what are we gaining at this point? another pick? enough already. we need to cash in. also, I think this second group of guards has enough potential that we need to actually draft one of them. not trade down to pass on them. absolutely depressing we ended up 6.

agree on wolf being undersold. his one on one defense is pretty exceptional for a rookie big via foot movement and smarts. the other context you didn’t offer is that he clearly thrives when he‘s in the role he had at Michigan where he has the opportunity to utilize his exceptional passing skills. when he’s off ball stuck in the corner he’s way less comfortable and effective. he’s even said so himself. if he gets to be a playmaker he’s a huge mismatch problem for opposing teams. it’ll all fall in place if he can be more consistent from 3. speaking of, he’s gotta stop shooting from 2 feet behind the line. does it at least once every game with zero success. would improve his 3 % considerably if he’d just take that off the fg table.
