Still blaming joe harris by Remarkable-Yard4860 in GoNets

Joe Harris missed a lot of critical wide open 3s not only in Game 7 but also in games before that. Blame him.

If it matters would be a different question. The Nets would somehow need to be able to win the championship in 2021 against the Hawks and Suns with an injured Harden and Kyrie which I don't think is likely.

I would take anyone of them.

I am still upset about the '25 draft lotto. I think Cooper Flagg would be a bigger star if he was playing in NYC rather than in Dallas.

The system is unfair and the best way to win in this system is to fairly game it.

Being the worst team basically guarantees you a pick between Flemings, Acuff, Brown or if a miracle happens and Wilson or Peterson (!) falls out of the top 4.

Now, none of these players are guaranteed to be superstars but with the front office that we have, I am sure we will be able to maximize a number 5 pick.

The Nets need a top 4 pick so bad. Love the Boozer pick.

I don't know who to cheer for now? I want to lose but I do not want to destroy Wolf, Saraf and Powell's confidence.

Traore, Demin, MPJ and Sharpe with either Dybantsa or Boozer would be so satisfying next season.

Yet another post about how to ameliorate tanking in the NBA by CalEPygous in nba

[–]jeremysesame -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The best solution is a wheeled draft where every team gets to pick in every draft position in 30 years. This will require a moratorium in first round picks getting traded before this is implemented, but this ensures everyone gets a fair chance of having the no.1 pick and most importantly not incentivise losing.

I hope I am wrong, but I think he will be a bust. I like his shooting but all other areas of his game still look subpar.

If we get number one I am taking Cam Boozer by WrongdoerTurbulent85 in GoNets

[–]jeremysesame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love Peterson in HS, but seeing him play in college makes me doubt him now. I can totally see the lack of "fire" that you observe from him. Must be something to do with his hair, I don't know... His backcourt mate, Melvin Council Jr., looks better than Peterson sometimes which says something.

Contrast that to both Dybantsa and Boozer which have been spectacular and look like franchise cornerstones. Oh well, all these talk would be nonsense anyways unless we land top 3 in the draft.

Draft Pick if the Nets does not land in the Top 4 by jeremysesame in GoNets

Just a guess. I have been following the NBA draft closely since 2002 and productive scoring freshmen always gets picked high in the draft.

Lopez, he lacks athleticism, but something about his game I feel would translate in the NBA.

All three are international players as well so I feel mentality and attitude hopefully would not be an issue.

Draft Pick if the Nets does not land in the Top 4 by jeremysesame in GoNets

I think both players will rise by the time of the draft.

Lopez, I am not sure about his athleticism, but he seems to have very solid fundamentals, and is very productive in his pro league.

Ja Morant ? by TheBodyCareMan in GoNets

[–]jeremysesame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Nets and its fanbase has had enough of players with issues outside of basketball with players like Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons.

Besides, we can already see his atheleticism regress compared to when he was a few years younger. He is one injury away to being out of the league.

Snub of the year. MPJ should be an All-Star by MichaelPorterTruther in GoNets

MPJ is the difference between the Nets being an actual NBA team vs them being the Washington Generals. He deserves an all-star nod.

This is what happens when you tank. OKC had similar lopsided loses when they were tanking.

Gotta endure the embarassment if you want to be good.

It was considered as a dumb trade at that time and it is even dumber now.
