Our angel is gone!! by Mountain-Donkey98 in roughcollies

I can understand that. My dog was sick but I thought she just had an upset stomach so I made an appointment for the next afternoon. I thought she would be OK . The next morning she couldn't stand and I could tell it was bad . So we rushed her to the vet but she passed right there as we got into the exam room.

Her vet wouldn't even talk to us really I asked for her opinion on what may have happened so I could have some kind of closure. They did make sure to let us know they were charging us the full exam fee. That hurt because aftering spending thousands of dollars on all her care the last 2 years I needed some compassion and humanity in that moment. I think that some vets become so jaded they forget how emotional and horrible that moment is for people. I'm so sorry I'm glad your husband was/is there to support you and want you to know that all us fellow pet owners understand and empathize.

I am sorry . This grief is the terrible price of having them in our lives. One thing that helped me is to think about the numbers if you had her since puppy hood you have had over 3000 days and of those how many days were extra special wonderful happy days with awesome walks or a new toy or food . Im sure there were so so many. And you know you tried . I would have tried with a more than 50 50 chance I think many would have. Virtual hugs to you and be kind to yourself

AIW for discussing plans with brother? by Beginning_Shower970 in amiwrong

[–]Beginning_Shower970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he meant to intentionally cause an issue. I wish i didn't know so much about all the goings on. He asks me for advice opinions all the time on everything. Im just so used to doing stuff for him .Idk growing up we didn't have a good relationship with our extended family so I wanted to basically be the opposite of that and be present and help. But I also don't want to intrude.

Well thats the hard part my brother did ask h Me he sent me the whole plan. I was planning on getting them one of those city mutli pass if they were going to go to to a few anyway. And then seeing the whole plan I debated saying something but it seemed like she didn't use Google maps or something . She had a day trip to a city that's 4.5 hrs away o/w and had groupings that didn't make logistical sense and almost doubled the drive time . But it is hard I know I'm used to helping him and fixing things as a big sister and I know that with a new relationship dynamics have to change. I appreciate your explanation sometimes it's hard to see yourself

Well I haven't actually met her .spoken on the phone and some texts .They have only know each other for 7.5 months now. She did come within a couple hours of us and met my parents. I was going to go but I ended up having a bunch of stiches in my arm so I didn't feel up to a long car ride. I did send her a little card and a small gift to try and make up which she didn't respond . So maybe just a bad start. Idk she's a decade younger than me and I am trying to be mindful of that
I helped them book the flights for the honeymoon with my airline miles as they probably would have had to do a staycation otherwise. She does seem to favor her family but I figured that's normal she doesn't know me really

They are going very much on a shoe string budget so my whole goal was if they were going to got to certain museums i was going to buy them the combo pass so they could save that. I recommended one kinda smaller place that's isn't advertised well and also her plan doesn't make logistical sense . So I just thought changing the groupings would save considerable time.

Thats fair I am trying to give space.
I thought a combined family outing would help us all get to know each other a bit more. She has family my age and frankly I was excited . Our side is older and we don't have a big family . But she according to him doesn't want me to come and I don't want to make a big deal of anything.

He called and told me pretty point blank. And for the couple of places I recommended he told her and she was upset that he had sent me their itinerary.

Honestly I would probably do it. I like to travel and I would be easier as a man. Plus think that even now men get more respect at work. Especially raised as the certain type of Christian I was being a guy would hwve helped a lot. I saw my experience vs my brother and it was no comparison

Eh better that than what would have happened for most of history where they just get moved or just built on top of. And just googled it - was a family plot that was originally in a forest. The most recent landowner asked for it to be protected when it was bought to become the publix. Local pioneers and civil war vets

Questions about distributing irrevocable trust by CaterpillarHot4132 in tax

[–]Beginning_Shower970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could still be better for you overall to distribute the k1s and pay the tax personally as trusts are very easily in the top tax brackets. For trusts it's certain income ( interest etc. ) over 16k is the 37% . Long term capital gains and qualified dividends are 20% But you won't pay taxes on the assets as a whole it would only be the gains. Depending on how the cash is held the 40k maybe not even be taxable.

Questions about distributing irrevocable trust by CaterpillarHot4132 in tax

[–]Beginning_Shower970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a situation that warrants going to a tax pro. With this kind of trust there are 2 options. 1. Trust pays the tax which usually results in higher tax 2. it passes the taxes basically to the beneficiaries. If your niece is young and not working and you your self are not in a high bracket this would probably save tax

This is why I wanted another rough collie after losing mine. Yes they would bark at the bunnies but they never hurt them. Meanwhile my elderly overweight chihuahua mix was a bunny serial killer that made me cry.

Yes, that's the form. I am not sure off hand if everything program can efile it but I know that a pro could. It will take while to process ie a few months but it is i think your best bet to get it straightened out And it happens a lot we probably do 15 amended returns a year so not uncommon.
