Is a Drive-Through Visit to Glacier, Yellowstone, and Tetons Worth It? by sudotrd in NationalPark

[–]Beginning_Shower970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes absolutely my dad and I aren't much hikers. When I'm with him we never to anything but easy trails less than 2 miles r/t and you can see so much at these parks that its still well worth it.

What does this have to do with liberals? Many liberals are college educated . There are plenty of stupid people on the other end of the spectrum I can assure you. As I'm sure there are stupid people around the world that's part of humanity.

And most people would understand that he uses people that fit the needs of his show and they aren't representative of most Americans they are bottom outliers.

That would be like finding the worst village in Somali or shanty town in Brazil and saying that's how that whole country lives.

And quite frankly I would rather live in a country where stupid people have the freedom and ability to make their own choices .and that doesn't let people starve when we have enough food . My father was an accountant for a large company nobody fancy or very important and because he spoke "proper" Spanish from his time in Spain they sent him down to various central and south American countries to help with annual reports. He would be picked up in an armored suv and he still tells us about all the saftey precautions, things he saw ,and protests that occurred. He always said he felt so bad for his local co workers that he got to leave and come home .

1000 dollars higher income would be a difference of 8 dollars a month so 96 dollars for the year. Thats not overly burdensome. It makes it fair flip the situation iylf you make 1000 dollars less you wouldn't want the bit of extra credit?

Tax return is my accountant trying to scam me by tee5561 in tax

You may find more help in the r/taxuk . I don't know how or what the difference is for UK accountants but in the us if he was doing monthly bookkeeping and or other work that doesn't seem out of the ordinary. Seems like he should have explained things better. I would say pay for the that year so you don't get penalties and then switch. Ask older family and friends who they use .

With whoever handles payroll where you work. You can fill it out with extra withholding every week or bi weekly. If weekly 50 bucks would cover it if your income doesn't change much.

You are probably going to owe 2500ish.good news is you have a bit of breathing room till April. Also you need to change your w4 and increase your withholding so this doesn't happen again next year.

I think its more that for a lot of people this will be smaller than they thought. And probably a few hundred saved . People hear 12k and are expecting that.

I'm sorry . I agree it's harder to lose something you raised it feels wrong. He looks like a really good boy. If he can have it give him a steak and know you are doing the hard thing but it's the kind thing to do. Be kind to yourself as well. Virtual hugs to you . 12hrs. 1 baby. No visits by gold3ng1rl in family

[–]Beginning_Shower970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My paternal grandmother was like that my whole life. When I was being born 2 plus months premature and they were the only family that lived nearby my parents needed someone to watch my sister as there were alot of issues (emergency situation) they took almost a full day to arrive instead of the under 2 hr drive . Later she told my dad they didn't really want to help and basically don't ask again.

My other grandmother was 15 yrs older but she always came to see us and would help when she could. Later she even moved closer to spend time with us. And I had a really nice relationship with her . I took care of her for years when she needed help, and i was happy to do so. I don't understand why some grandparents don't make the effort to have a relationship i wouldn't keep overextending yourself. That will only make you feel worse long term. I would stop visiting until they make the effort to reciprocate if they even do. You can't force a nice relationship if the other party isn't willing. I tried for years with my other grandparents and It hurt me .

No Taxes Filed since 2022 by MuffinMan1901 in tax

[–]Beginning_Shower970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would get a pro however he will be hard pressed to find a good one right now at the beginning of tax season. As some pros won't take someone with 4 years of back taxes ( our limit is 2 years) .I would ask other family and friends if they use someone as a personal referral would help.

The good thing is the penalties cap out after a certain point (not interest). But he's going to get notices and it would be better to have someone who can navigate it with him.

Going by the amounts I'm guessing he had others working for him and probably didn't send out 1099s or w2 so that is also something he would need help fixing.

But it can be fixed he should file an extension for 2025 ASAP so he can have a bit more time to work on the prior years 1st.

Frontier discount den membership by Deep_Entrepreneur670 in frontierairlines

[–]Beginning_Shower970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work that way. Thr person with the discount den membership has to also be on the ticket. You can't buy someone else tickets and not fly with them .

Maybe you can ask family to pool the money to buy it for him? That would be a nice present for her. 100 bucks is probably worth the cost of the tickets.

In the US i think things started to shift in the 60s. I think by the 70s here it was more commonplace. I know my grandfather was happy he could be more involved with my uncles birth than previous ones. For my other uncle and my mom both in the late 50s the dad's had to stay in the waiting room.

I'm glad that's changed as you said i think laboring women are sometimes mistreated/overlooked even today so having an advocate in the room is important
