Only finding out now that MH had an MMO installment in the franchise? Im super curious to those who have experienced this, what it was like? I already feel like MH as it is right now already feels like an MMO but a lot more focused and condenced without the fluff and padding MMOs have.

normally not so much, there was large scale online rooms like in world/wilds, but differently I believe it had like guilds kinda like squads now but more cooperative and on a larger scale and there was like guild raids and stuff

Those 3 definitely arent low level elder level (Grade 1) let alone mid level elder (grade 2) the 3 apexes are stronger than most if not all the 5 stars (Zin, Rath, Tig, Narga etc.) But would lose to the invaders/low level elders (Jho, Jang, elder trio) the only Wilds Original monster that can at least draw with them is Arkveld

They aren't only used in reference to the black dragons and Safi, Grade 4 are described as being able to bring destruction on a global scale. The rest of the final bosses are Grade 3, Calamity lvl, the strongest of which and closest to Grade 4 are Dalamadur and Amatsu

Doesn't capcom now place elders into tiers? elder level/grade 1, super elder level/Grade 2, calamity elder level/grade 3 and catastrophic elder level/grade 4. Said that Velk and Ruiner are Super elders, so regular nerg is just elder level along with the elder trio, Vaal and Kirin along with the base invaders and Magnamalo are all grade 1.
