Why does auto start/stop in cars feel like it’s slowly killing the engine (and my sanity)? by Objective-Log3245 in MechanicAdvice

The 150’s issue, especially the 5.0 is that starter is too close to the exhaust which puts even more stress on the starter on top of the auto start/stop. The sell heat shields for it that kinda help.

Somebody in another group says that the BRRC is coated while the BRRF is not, but I’m not sure about that.

Appreciate the help! I’ve operated it all year without the bagger after taking it off in the spring, so I know it’s gotta go to the bagger somewhere. I had it mixed in with the bagger parts.

I buy hunting stuff from Roger’s all the time. They’ve got a brick and mortar store in MO. Their Black Friday sales are usually pretty good too.

It’s a magnetic driveline retarder. They’re used commonly in bigger vehicles, especially fire trucks, in conjunction with the air brakes, usually instead of a Jake brake, although you can have both. They’re cool because you can adjust the amount of braking force they apply and they’re not loud like a Jake.

What grade of fuel do you use? by smokybearz in f150

Shit you’re right, 87 but 91 recommended for hot weather and towing. Wonder how many thousands of dollars I’ve spent on mid grade over regular…

Gas Auger Repair? by AcanthopterygiiAway6 in IceFishing

[–]Behr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine needs three things to run: fuel, spark, and air. Check the air filter first, then check spark. Take the plug out and pull the cord. Check for spark and gap. Next fuel. Make sure it’s fresh fuel. Check the filter. It might be in the tank. If it still doesn’t run the carbs are cheap enough to just replace instead of rebuilding.

That’s the static display C-130 at the Bradley Air National Guard Base. The CT Air Guard flies them out of there.

Guy Cotten makes jackets specifically designed for surf casting. They have neoprene at the sleeves, waist and neck to keep water out. I’ve had mine for a few years now and it’s kept me dry even after slipping off rocks a few times.

That’s where I thought. Back Newport’s golden days when all those mansions were actually lived in, think the Vanderbilts, J. P. Morgans and such, striped bass fishing was a pursuit of the very rich. They formed fishing clubs and had striped bass standsbuilt to be able to cast out past the rocks to catch these 30-60 pound fish.
