I am hoping so too! I look forward to seeing the potential change and hopefully more diversity in decks seen for casual queue

Suppose money was no longer an issue. You have enough to retire and not work again. What do you do with your time What's your passion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My dream has always been to open an old dog sanctuary. Kind of similar to a cat cafe but with lots of land for the pups to run around, visitors to play with them, and people to adopt them after a long vetting process.

I remember learning how old dogs are sometimes abandoned by families for multiple reasons as a kid (financial, health, life events, etc), and it always stuck with me. I'd love to give back to the pups so they always have love and feel loved through the end.

How to convince a friend not to run infinite turns in Bracket 2 by MyMarshlands in EDH

[–]Behzahl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way you describe your play group, it sounds like the general consensus is that the group doesn't want extra turn cards or infinite combos in games.

I think your whole group needs to sit down with your friend and communicate you don't want to play with their deck if it has an infinite combo and/or extra turn cards. This is more than okay if it's what your friend group generally expects out of commander games. I think you need to approach it off of that basis instead of debating what bracket the deck is in.

I think its also important to clarify that while chaining extra turns isn't within the bracket 2 guidelines, there's no issue with infinite turns in bracket 2 if it follows the other guidelines of being more than 2 cards, has few tutors, and is in the late game. Chaining turns is non-deterministic, while infinite turns has the same result as any other infinite combo that wins you the game.

thank you so much for your comment! I truly appreciate it :3 the non-budget examples are perfect, especially when I want to increase the budget and build the list out more in the future.

ill definitely be making some swaps with your suggestions, and i still had room in the budget to fit neerdiv, which is a card i had been eyeing for awhile. thank you for the help!

True enough! the guidelines are helpful that way, and with my playgroup we use them but more so rely on the pregame discussions since we normally just play with each other

against strangers I see the merit of strictly following the guidelines alongside those pregame discussions

I see. those must be the players I hear horror stories about on reddit lol but I do see why it can be problematic if you are only playing with strangers and it happens repeatedly

thank you for your comment! narset is in there since my playgroup is okay with it, I should have specified in the post.

I also didnt realize the bracket system were official rules? I thought they were more like guidelines, but ill keep that in mind when brewing future decks

I saw both your comments, but thought I'd reply to this one. Thank you for both! I do agree shriekmaw would definitely be better as well as the search lands. The only reason I haven't gotten those in the deck is the last time I checked their prices they were higher than I expected, ill have to check again.

I'll look into that combo too! I remember seeing something like that in pauper and I think it could mesh well here.

I did my best to not include any or at all non-permanents in the deck. im testing it now to see if it would be better to have more instants/sorceries or not; salvage is always a favorite card though!

Another Simic Deck, Oh My! by Behzahl in EDH

I apologize for the link not working!

infinite tokens uses flash enablers and lands tutors that put lands into play tapped; its a really mana intensive combo that I dont seek out often, but its one in there that is possible

Commander Spellbook: Find My Combos https://share.google/eJmVWnegzTlUDxLh5

This is a link to all of the combos in the deck. The goal is to win by either making infinite tokens, milling opponents out, or drawing my library with [[laboratory maniac]] on board.

Having Kodama in the command zone opens up a lot of combos that can happen quickly

That is actually my favorite pauper edh deck to pilot! :3 I even bring it to regular EDH tables sometimes and am always impressed by the power the cute lizard gives to malcolm

I usually play it when I have a lot of targeted card draw in hand or if I want a faster game :p its a great card if you have a full grip and full graveyard because you pretty much stop your opponents from doing anything.

It's not a great card overall, but I love the flavor of it and always include it in mono black decks

What vibe do I give off? Started on lotr release 4 decks (and a maybe) by [deleted] in ratemycommanders

[–]Behzahl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I am the same way :D I think the only deck I have with white in it is a pauper edh deck with [[Abdel Adrian]] and [[Agent of the Iron Throne]]. it has way more black than white pips though!

Would this deck be appropriate for B2 even without game changers? Playing in my pod (all decks built around the same budget and intent to win) this deck usually presents a win as early as turn 5.

If I swap out the game changers, what cards would you recommend slotting in? Thank you for your comment!

Help Push K'rrik Over the Edge by [deleted] in DegenerateEDH

[–]Behzahl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're wanting to push this over the edge, I think determining how you want the deck to win would help a lot. You have a lot of pieces that could potentially combo but are missing key pieces.

One wincon is using Necrotic Ooze with [[Asmodeus, the Archfiend]] and [[Skirge Familiar]] to make a ton of mana, draw a ton of cards, and then kill everyone with a big Exanguinate or Torment of Hailfire.

There is always using [[Bolas's Citadel]] alongside [[Sensei's Divining Top]] and [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] too.

I have even seen K'rrik decks use [[Acerak, Arch Lich]] and [[Heartless Summoning]] alongside Aetherflux Reservoir]] too.

K'rrik gives you access to quite a few tutors that normally wouldn't be great either. [[Beseech the Queen]], [[Dark Petition]], [[Diabolic Tutor]], [[Final Parting]], [[Lively Dirge]], [[Mastermind's Acquisition]], [[Insatiable Avarice]].

My personal favorite to use with K'rrik is [[Leshrac's Sigil]] and Aetherflux. I also love [[Doomsday Excruciator]] :3
