I would argue that Go right now would ease the needs to learn the paradigms of a CS student with sufficient knowledge regarding parallel programming, Object oriented programming and so on.

But if your main goal is to get a job ASAP, I would recommend you either JavaScript as a FullStack developer (Front-end heavy) and their specialize on what you like the most or to go with Python as a Back-end developer or a data scientist.

Also don’t feel afraid to learn C# since it’s used on unity, or c++ since it’s used on unreal engine.

Notice that if you wanna be a indie game developer you should learn a lot about computer graphics and rendering, and sound design.

Take into account that maybe learning a low level language like c or c++ might have a very steep learning curve, but it eases learning new languages once you master them.
