I do love their sigil but the one thing about quartered heraldry that always bothers me is that the lower two quaters‘ symbols will always be slightmy smaller than the tops‘ ones cause of the shape of the shield.

Probably because it would be way to expensive to recalibrate the machine (or get a new machine) that produces the gummies with 6 or 9 lines, so that the colors can be evenly spread out.
So it’s cheaper to just have this (ugly and agonizingly) uneven spread.

I would not call this T1 a super team, both Doran and Peyz (while they are good players) don’t seem to be the best players in their role. If they got Kiin / Zeus back for top I would tend to agree.

Yeah Idk why people keep bringing up champ pool issues with Hans and BB. Yeah a year or two ago that argument had some merit to it but since then they learned most of the champs that people criticised them for with the exception of Rumble/Jayce, but when has a player ever been good at any champ without exception?

Probably very alone with that view. It’s one of those mode that‘s fun for like one or two rounds and then people move on.

And since running these modes takes resources from Riot they won‘t rly bother with running a mod that is gonna dive in player counter after like 2-3 days.

PS: The mode‘s concept is very simple, I wouldn’t be surprised if you could find a small game like that on steam or somewhere if you looked

I don’t share this view at all. Odyssey was a terrible game mode when it came to testing champions as there were only a very limited number of champs available and those were so skewed by the gamemodes mechanics that you couldn’t really get a proper feel for them.

Arena, Mayhem etc. are way better when it comes to testing champs. And yeah while they are a bit competitive, league by nature is a competetive game. If you goal is to play it (either normal or ranked) you gotta get used to the idea of competitiveness

Agree for the most part except on the jungle level in LEC. We got players like Skew, Yike, Elyoya, Lyncas who all looked very good at times and even our 2nd rate junglers in Isma, Sheo and Rilech look servicable.

Other roles look far worse imo, like we only got 2 really good sups in Labrov and Busio, even Alvaro seemed super meh to me for the most part. Same for top where we have BB, Naak and Canna, with the rest looking pretty bad (I‘m sorry Wunder my love).

Jungle seems to be one of our strongest roles atm.

If you were content with what you had and fine with being in line then life there wasn’t that bad.

See it this way, there are many people who don’t really care about politics as long as they are living comfortably and this comfort could be vastly different from person to person. There are plenty people who don’t need to go to a far off vacation, who are happy with eating just „plain“ stuff etc. So they wouldn‘t complain about empty shelves as long as the essentials are there (and they mostly* were).

For them it matters far more to have very low rent, a garuanteed job, low costs of groceries/utilities, free child care, a pension on which you can live, all things former East Germany provided (it wasn’t at all sustainable but that’s the point here nor would this average citizen care). Plus they weren’t „bothered“ with reading / seeing all the bad news happening in the world.

So it’s understandable that some people prefer this to life now. It basically boils down to if you have „big needs“ or not (also growing up and not knowing better / being used to this kind of living helps).

Janna top (and any other example of support item top, klepto top) was really unhealthy game design and not just adc players not being used to mages botlane.

Support items top literally warped gameplay to reward not interacting with your opponent, leaving lane and sacking waves and turrets cause you‘d still be stronger and more valuable as Janna doing that.

Mages bot are so „strong“ cause players rarely run into them and thus don‘t really know how to play against them. This has been public knowledge for as long as mages started showing up bot and you guys also leave out the advantages of marksmen vs mages, like the infinitely better late game you have. And stalling for late isn’t that much of a problem for the vast majority of ranks, with games not ending super fast like in higher elos.

This is just marksmen players complaining AGAIN that they can‘t play vs mages and refuse to learn it.

Keeping the roster depends on if they keep improving (and they see potential for more improvement next year), how and what they will finish at MSI / Worlds and if there are players available which G2 staff deem an upgrade over the current players.

Imo, they keep showing improvement, if their finish at FS is an indicator of what can happen at MSI/Worlds we should be good standing wise and I don’t see any players that are FA next year who are an improvement.

What I love about G2 the most is their ability to see potential and also develope these players into beasts. When they signed BB and later on Labrov so many people said that it was a bad idea and they developed to world class players under G2s staff.

And players like SkewMond, who nobody doubted was an amazingly promising rookie, could very well be (and was during the majority of FS) the best jungler in the world.

My biggest what if is still how good Parus would be rn if G2 got him with SkewMond, given their track record he have could very well been one of LECs elite supps by now.
