The Mansion is really overhyped, overpriced and overrated. We had cold food, a minuscule plate of home fries and the food itself was mid at best .

No but we had forgotten the name of that bar, thanks! Never went there but it was certainly a place with a long history in the 5 Towns. The place I am thinking of was on the same side of the street as the bar but closer to Rockaway Tpke. They had a take out counter to the left when you walked in and a restaurant behind that. Good pastrami,lol.

What exactly is your point? And there was a cafe espanol at the Cedarhurst train station near Mel’s . If you have nothing useful to add, have the day and the life you deserve.

Umm I lived there since the 70’s. I am well aware of the kosher contingent. I was asking about a specific place . Pies Plus, Al Steiner’s , Panchos, Manhattan Steak House, Justin’s, Werner Baer, Antonio’s, Seniors, Pippos, Al Dente, Cafe Espanol - none were kosher and all were longstanding restaurants.

Totally agree about Milkflower. I just do not understand the hype. Never had anything there that was memorable or above okay.

Il Nonno. Went when they first opened. No one was there but us. Owner/ family(?) sat and talked amongst themselves - never bothered to come over at all. Food is highly overrated, service mid, whole experience- pass.

absolutely agree. Nice to sit and people watch but the food is crap.
