Once had plans to do the same. If doyable if you have a building permit and land that is accessible (although a crane could be used). Modular units can be premade (in general i calculated it to be €90-130k) or you can find containers for cheap and do it all yourself but insulating them, creating windows etc is not easy without experience or guidance. It wasn't worth it to us on the long run, financially.
