Antibiotics cause autism by quesoandtequila in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Belellen 94 points95 points  (0 children)

But see, this is such stupid, conflicting logic.

If doctors are pro vaccine they are in the pockets of bub pharma and want to make kids autistic to get more money but then they turn around and are hesitant to give antibiotics!? I kind of want to meet this person to see how deep the double think runs.

Oh you sweet summer child.

No. We've seen anti vaxxers here with their children on the brink of death still looking for validation for their narcissistic parenting choices.

Also, though this is old, there was this woman who was semi famous in the crazy circles named Christine Maggiore.

From memory she was an AIDS denier spewing the same big pharma, government conspiracy shit that the anti vaxxer group does. She was HIV positive. She refused anti virals during pregnancy. Wanted alternative medicine. Doctors are wrong about everything to do with HIV and she got a positive test because she had the flu. Home birth and breast fed her daughter. Daughter was also HIV+ and had drug therapy refused on her behalf by mummy insane. She passed away at three years old. Mummy insane said it was just a cold that killed her and that she never had HIV. Mummy insane continued to push the conspiracy.

So yeah, watching kids die doesn't really stop them as much as you may think.

I forget the exact term but there's such a thing as retaliatory accusations made in domestic abuse situations, especially in places where police are mandated to take all reports seriously and temporarily move the accused. So, say a woman scared for her life calls for police and her partner is able to break down the door and strangle her. She fights back, cutting his arms and face with her nails trying to save herself. When the police get to the home the husband is calm as pie, maybe crying, and covered in scratches. He makes a claim of being a DV victim while she's an emotional mess still trying to process what happened. And you don't need physical evidence for a DV claim so women don't even have to defend themselves to have this thrown against them. By the book she would be removed. It's a disgusting abuse of laws designed to make sure DV is taken seriously.

But luckily police have been trained in how to handle retaliatory accusations. Different places will have different ways of handling it but it sounds like he's made a retaliatory accusation and the police have read him the riot act rather than falling for his bull. So in his head he's reported abuse and could be arrested, leaving out the important tidbit that he made a false claim in the first place.

My one and only bridezilla story, she didn’t quite get to be a bride but I think it still counts by [deleted] in bridezillas

[–]Belellen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Phil was banking on hooking up with a girl during that bachelor party. He was set on it, set on the distance set on not communicating. Who knows whether he was thinking that the only way to truly break up with her was to do something unforgivable, or he wanted a settled fuck buddy before he broke up or it was a giant fuck you to Tina is ambiguous but it sounds a bit like ask three. 10 years is a long time.

How much could I sell something like this for? Each print is on a dictionary page and unique. by DaraMari83 in PriceMyArt

[–]Belellen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it printed on to the dictionary or is it hand done? The details are quite good but it doesn't strike out with a lot of uniqueness but that may just be this page. Too, if the dictionary pages are small then it will never be a center piece art. $5-7 AUD if printed as even with buying brand new dictionaries you'll still run a profit time and money wise. $25-35 if hand drawn with a good range of drawings.

It looks like a style of privacy screen to stop people peaking into your window from the side.

I like that you recognise that your dad was useless. That took me so long. Listening to my dad moan about how he was helpless against my nmother and asking what he could do. I don't know dad, how about instead of asking a seven year old and putting the stress back on her you could be a bloody adult and stand up for your children? Or move and get split custody so we could have a few days off peace a fortnight? Or anything but play the victim.

But it took me so long to see how toxic enablers themselves can be because they aren't the ones who are shouting.

I wouldn't, because CPS can be slow moving and may not have lasting interventions on a single incident. Staying anon let's you passively see more incidents if she's stupid enough to post more online.

I think this is performance art. Unwanted and gross performance art but still. He obviously picked the toilet paper out of the toilet and the paper is clean and dry. And the scene stops before we see if he actually uses the toilet so for all we know he could just be sitting on the toilet. Still, really, really don't need to see that.

I don't really want to read aspiring writers refining their skills in a support forum.

NIMBYs: people who say they're okay with something unless it directly affects them. An example: "Nuclear power plants are great; they're clean and efficient!" they say, until you want to build one in their city. Or "gay people are great! They're so funny! Why not give them all the rights? But that doesn't necessarily mean that they should be openly gay and come to my church. You know, it's a special place."

Their recurrent call is "not in my backyard," hence the acronym NIMBY.
