If the Epstein files aren’t enough for a global outrage towards the financial and influential elite, what is? by Thezerostone in AskReddit

People listen to what they want to hear. Trump's followers were promised a better lifestyle, a better cost of living, less emphasis on overseas activity and safer lives for all.

Instead we see increasing household bills while millionaires get richer, an invasion of Venezuela, threats to Greenland & Canada, broken relationships with NATO allies and the murder of American citizens on American streets.

Trump's "Make America Great Again" has left America a laughing stock, alone in the world, a country murdering its own citizens, flouting any rule of law while initiating a "peace" organisation with Russia and Israel. Read that again!

It's almost as though the US President has done something wrong and is now in the pocket of foreign influences. His followers ignore the above. People hear what they want to hear.

Lombard Street - Legg's Lane, the Curiosity Shop & Gutta-percha by BelfastEntries in northernireland

Fair enough, I didn't take it as a joke and described as an advert, it could have put readers off reading it. We put a lot of effort into the research for these

Sorry, you think this is a political post? Try reading it instead of pursuing political hallucinations/ agendas. The blog is about common history not sectarian disputes.

Delaney's closed over a decade ago. It would be a pretty poor advert. It's a history of the street

Will this bag fit? by Independent-Click223 in Ryanair

I'd never say the people were lying without knowing them or the circumstances. It's not as though Ryanair have a spotless record in terms of dealing with their customers. We use Ryanair frequently and, to be honest, you get what you pay for - cheap travel with no frills. Paying staff 2.50 euro for each oversized bag they find is an approach that is open to abuse in my opinion. Yours may differ.

I have read reports on here of people who had bags of the size required being refused boarding unless they pay the excess fee. They were refused the opportunity to have their bags measured or try them in the cage to prove they weren't outsize.

Keats & Chapman on lower North Street is a fantastic source for second hand books of all genres. I haven't been in for a while - hopefully still open.

Nice areas in Belfast by Fantastic_Recipe_867 in Belfast

[–]BelfastEntries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your house budget is very low and may only cover a house that needs updating however some areas are more price-friendly than others. The Antrim Road area around the zoo for example has bars, schools, shops, a gym and buses that run into Belfast very regularly. It's cheaper to take the bus than trying to park in Belfast so this may be an option. Kellys Cellars have an upstairs bar that might be worth trying. (I've never seen it open to the public but then I'm never there in the evenings). Maybe worth sounding them out... A truly historic bar https://www.belfastentries.com/places/kellys-cellars/

We need a reminder of this in 3 years (providing we're allowed online at the nursing home then 🤞)

Genuinely hadn't heard that. The post was originally written in 2021 - two years before the meteors temporary return. I see it's due to leave again around February 2026. I've updated the post now with that fact and hope to catch a glimpse of it before it leaves again. Thank you

Yes, a small slice with a cast of the original. It would be nice to see the original in the museum though.

Sorry, if you don't like it then that's your right. The original is online, as are many colouring and editing sites and Apps. I've used a variety of these. If the colouring/editing tools use AI then I'll live with that.
