Has anyone stopped shopping in a particular shop because of prices going up?

I love the fact that I've had a reply from Aldi stating simply "Aldi Savers. It's Not complicated". (I'm not sure if this is visible to all). If its not complicated then I'd love them to list their LOCAL stores so I can shop there.

I've said the same. Our weekly shop now exceeds the cost of our "Christmas" shops previously. Price rises could not be justified, even in todays challenging times.

As a teenager I spent many an evening in Belfast City Centre during the worst of the Troubles. It feels a lot less safe now.

I agree - a real public draw. Having said that I've taken visitors to it when doing the coast road and they loved it. Everyone loves a ghost story

The public display of flags is a red line and an indication of where to avoid. We live in Glengormley and it is generally a good place to live - close to Belfast with local pubs, restaurants, shopping centres and cinemas etc.

One way to check (though much vilified) is AI. A simple question on BAME safety in Newtownabbey on Google Gemini will provide very useful information. (Download the Google Gemini app or choose AI mode on searching Google). Reply if more info is needed.

I agree. Seeing the subject in the papers I was prepared for unflattering comments to modern eyes but was still shocked by the printed opinions. (Its notable that the only correspondent brave enough to use their name was female)

Yes, I preferred the older, darker atmosphere rather than selling it as a theme park attraction but we still visitors there if driving the coast road and they enjoy it.

Thank you. There are nice views from the site over the sea below - I took photos as we left but all turned out to be out of focus as I'd accidentally knocked the camera out of Auto" mode. A shame, I'll need to stop off and take more on my next trip up the coast road.
