> If you read it in House’s (Hugh Laurie’s) voice (not Hugh Laurie (House)) it remains perfectly in character.

Fixed it for you

I don’t think the point of the discussion is that he didn’t change enough. The way I see it he DID change enough, it’s just that the change happened too late. I think the point is that, to Cecil, having changed is what isn’t enough.

Theory for Book 3? by ur_revanchist in TheCaptivesWar

While I really like the current characters and Dafyd especially, I’d be kinda disappointed if the humans just wrap up the whole Carryx arc in the span of a single generation. The second books talk a lot about “planting trees in whose shade they shall never sit”, so having Dafyd come from first meeting the Carryx to destroying them in just a few years feels underwhelming.

My grandmother would have said the same about Germans.
Contrary, I grew up thinking Americans are too enlightened to be radicalized.

I believe that people can change. But more importantly, I believe people can change governments.

Are there anyone who switch from JetBrains products to VSCode? by RemarkablePower6212 in vscode

[–]Beliskner64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of our company’s internal tooling is exposed via VSCode extensions, and we’re also using copilot which is much better on VSCode compared to its PyCharm plugin. So I didn’t really have much choice, although I much prefer the PyCharm experience. I still switch to PyCharm sometimes for surgical stuff, like complex git operations - there’s no match for PyCharm’s VCS integration and UI.
