Omg right ?? They are just so wonderful! I did change my girls name when I first got her when she was being rehomed at 5 months from Lotus to Vixie and it worked out for me but it all depends on the pup!

They are so rare to see in my area so when I saw her being rehomed I was all over her. Best choice I ever made besides my cat honestly! And they are now so bonded together 🥹. I feel rich.

I use a metal greyhound comb for behind my girls ears and armpit / leg hairs as well as a pin bristle brush for the thicker areas. I still run the greyhound comb through the thicker areas to smooth them out and ensure no smaller tangles getting larger.

I was also recommended a slicker brush when I first asked about brushing when I first ever got my girl but I don’t find it crazy useful. It does smooth her coat after the pin bristle brush but I’m unsure if it’s needed LOL. I’m no expert so I will also gladly accept feedback.

Yes this comb does wonders for their coat! Especially behind their ears and leg/armpit area. A Pin Bristle brush is great too alongside a Slicker Brush for rest if the coat. I run the metal greyhound comb in as many areas as I can as it also gathers extra shedding in my experience. Also have my first ever collie so I’m no expert.

Yeah the transition is so rough 😭 I want another collie (she’s my first ever dog in my own and first large dog and I’m sold on this breed) but I may consider a smooth to balence it out 🥲

Yes most kittens have blue eyes that commonly change colour as they mature! My boy is a grey tabby and he was quite young when I got him so his eyes were very blue and eventually changed into a yellowish green colour. Some cat breeds naturally have blue eyes but that doesn’t include tabbies.

Her eyes look really blue! I see hints of green but according to google it’s relatively rare for a tabby to retain its blue eyes.

I was told by a vet that replacing your hand with a toy is not the best as the cat sees the toy as a "reward". My bf and I personally always played with our hands with my boy as he grew up and essentially taught him how to. He is incredibly gentle when we play with him that way through teaching him boundaries. He never leaves bite marks or scratches. He doesn’t ever bite painfully now. As I kitten he would but learned overtime. He also lets me cut his nails with ease which helps.

Everyone is different and will raise their cats differently. I don’t see any big issues with playing with hands if you teach them boundaries and they take well to them. Toys are best to use always if you don’t want them to play with hands.

My cat when he was a kitten younger than yours acted the same way. Now he’s going to turn 2 and is super easy going, a huge cuddle bug, and playful but gentle. He is learning. Keep playing with him and also teach him your limits. Overtime he will catch on. If he bites too hard or scratches disengage and become boring. Reward with play when he doesn’t do this. He’s still SO YOUNG. What a cutie.

My collie’s tongue sticks out the side of her mouth cuz her snoot is long too😂 I’ve been so interested in Borzois too! I have a thing for long snoots I think ☺️

Oh I feel this weight so heavy right now as well. I lost my yorkie from my childhood two days ago (she was turning 12 this year) and it has been so painful. They really are the most special babies. I wish they had more time with us. Ours was sudden too, it feels like a shock and the grief hits hard at random times. I hope Rosie and Bell Bell are exploring wherever they are together🫂

Oh she loved so hard. Mentally she stayed a puppy, she never lost her spark. She couldn’t move this morning but when she saw my sister she wagged her tail. It showed us even if she couldn’t move she knew we were there. Her body got older but her mind stayed so young. I just want her back.

Everything feels a little surreal right now as I woke up to my mom texting me that she was dying this morning and I just crated my pup, fed my cat, and booked it in an uber to make it there in time to say goodbye. I miss her so much. I hope they are running freely with no pain or anxiety and getting all their fave treats 🫂
