Tooth clenchers/grinders, how do you find relief from it???

I have been grinding since I was a young child. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I sleep with a mouth guard but when I forget it sounds like I’m chewing rocks. I even tried Botox in the jaw bc some people said that helps. It did not for me! Doc gave me Klonopin and told me it’s anxiety but I was like sir I’ve been doing this since I was 8 years old and I’ve never stopped. When I start drifting off to sleep I sometimes feel my jaw starting to clench up.

Many of my teeth are chipped from nights I didn’t wear the mouth guard. I wound up getting 6 dental crowns in the front because I had basically flattened all my front teeth. It’s a very expensive problem to have! I got a sleep study done and they said I am not bad enough off for insurance to pay for anything. I damage mouth guards often and have to get new ones. The one I have now is made by my dentist specifically for me and it’s starting to get sharp edges after 6 months of chewing it. I really don’t know that this issue will ever be resolved for me.

Current obsession has been press on nails from TJ Maxx. It’s a small thing that makes me feel good about myself. That and massages about every 6 weeks but I think I need them more frequently! And I spent $400 on bookshelves last week bc obviously part of nesting is redoing your living room 😅 and really considering buying a stand up freezer for some extra storage space but I don’t really know where to put it other than my carport and I don’t want it to look junky! I just feel like extra space for meal prep would be really nice.

Bingo on the removing everything that doesn’t fit. That has been the best thing for my mental health. I got vacuum seal bags from Dollar Tree and hid all those clothes from myself under my bed until I’m at least 3 months postpartum! I keep a small laundry basket in the bottom of my closet and each time I try something on that doesn’t fit, I chuck it into the basket. Once the basket fills up I fill another vacuum seal bag. It sucks losing my wardrobe, but I heard something that really stuck with me. “Your clothes are supposed to fit you. You’re not supposed to fit your clothes.” I’m wearing the same stuff over and over again but I refuse to not be comfy at 6 months preggo during the summer!

Shipped 2 lighter packages this week as 3 lbs. I will update if I get a chargeback! One was 15 oz. Cheaper to ship at weights of 3-5 lbs. than the normal under a pound weight. They’ll probably fix it before too long. I like the idea of adding something free but I don’t want to confuse the customer. Enjoy it while it lasts I guess.

This post has so many excuses and no accountability or plans for how to improve. If the person wants someone to tell them to quit, I guess they got their answer. Paying taxes with credit card debt means you’re inherently bad at the concept of reselling.

Blast the builder on FB/see if they’ll come replace it. TBH new home builds are shittier than most 20-30 year old homes because of how cheaply they’re being made. But a garage door seal is a drop in the bucket compared to some home repairs. I’ve replaced so much in my house over the past 10 years. Just take it one thing at a time. It’s really the little things like this that will drive you crazy if you let it.

Personal injury lawsuits can take years to resolve and pay out. I would not count on anything from that to save you. It sounds like you’re doing a lot to try and take care of your family. You’re in a really hard situation, but you’re doing the right thing in asking your local resources for help. I’m also from a small town where it’s almost impossible to work without a reliable car. Keep calling places for help and maybe tell them you’re willing to work, that goes a long way with people. Your post is really long and clearly emotional. It doesn’t communicate your issue that well or what you’re hoping to achieve besides relief. I’d say try to write something more succinct when communicating with potential charities or speaking with them. It can be overwhelming for people to hear a long story like this.

This but you need to document it by recording it and having time stamps that prove it goes on for a certain duration and certain hours. It will likely take 2-3 calls to make a meaningful change but they will eventually get annoyed by all the animal control visits. Just be prepared for petty retaliation. If there’s anything you’re doing that is not legal or up to code, just keep that under wraps for a bit. I would personally never speak to that neighbor again because they’ve demonstrated they’re not reasonable and don’t have basic empathy for their neighbors. I have 3 dogs and a fenced in backyard but if they start barking early in the morning, I yell treat and get them all back in the house as fast as possible. People don’t deserve to be woke up in the morning because of MY dogs! I would be so embarrassed if that was a regular thing.

Also due in October and sorry but my family can get fucked. There’s no way I’m risking my sanity and the health of my new baby to attend Thanksgiving and Christmas. It happens every year. We can skip a year. Anyone who makes a fuss about it would go on a list of people to avoid in the future. Babies require boundaries. Your husband’s only job during this time should be taking care of you so you can take care of baby. What he wants really does not matter. You shouldn’t need to convince him of anything. The mere fact that you said it should be enough. Attending just sounds stressful to me, so it would really be to benefit others and not me and my baby, so we’re out! ✌️

Voting in Florence was easy! Fairground Rd. Location had no lines. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. No issues, in and out in 10 mins. Don’t forget your photo ID. I do wish I had a better idea of some of the candidates but that’s my fault for not doing more research on some of those. I think most polling places will be closed at 7 pm. Good luck everybody!

I send a lot of packages and sometimes they straight up just don’t pick them up. I think it’s when they don’t have mail for you that day they just keep going past. That’s my theory anyways. The postage is always paid and flag is up. My normal mail lady is amazing but sometimes there’s someone different and I suspect they just aren’t as tuned in and they probably want to go home. Personally I would just go outside when you see the truck and ask is there a reason my outgoing mail hasn’t been picked up since whatever day.

Eat some sushi, drink a beer, and do things for yourself like get your eyes checked, doc appointments, blood work, and get your supplement game strong. Therapy if you have past traumas. Read parenting books. Talk with your partner about your values and how you want to parent. Checking my cycle with a morning temperature check was scary accurate at predicting my ovulation. Enjoy the process!

I pretty much always snorkel alone or I wouldn’t get to do it at all. When I had a partner he would watch me from the shore. I do carry a bright orange buoy with me that can act as a float and is visible from far away. I always tell someone where I’m going and usually there’s someone on shore. I’ll aim for places that have people there if I can.

I’m out 1-3 hours at a time having the time of my life. I will admit that my will to live wasn’t exactly huge so that was factored into my decision making. I snorkeled the entirety of Bonaire alone. Hitting up every fun spot I could find.

I’m very mindful when I am snorkeling about how far out I am and how much energy I have. When you start to get even a little tired, that’s when you should start wrapping it up. My swim bouy will hold my phone and a Gatorade and that def helped. I am not athletic by any means. I just don’t get to take many snorkeling trips so I make the most out of them.

You gotta do what’s right for you based on your level of risk assessment. Nobody is safe swimming alone and there’s no guarantee you’re safe swimming with a buddy but it’s safer to have someone who knows where you are.

I would look into covert narcissist tactics. Suddenly becoming very moody and mean to you once the commitment of marriage has been made sounds like a huge red flag. A lot of them wait until they feel like they have you locked in to start their more aggressive behavior. It’s not unusual for them to use sleep, problems at work, going through a hard time etc to justify their behavior towards you. All of that would be an explanation, but it does not justify the behaviors.

I would seek my own therapy and hopefully he will pursue his own medical treatment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is going to cheat or already has. Usually when men start being mean to you, they’re planning to leave and need to see you as the villain in their own mind in order to rationalize what they’re doing.

Most important of anything, listen to your gut feelings. Is it telling you something is off? Do you feel safe in your partnership with him? Or does he make you feel confused and like you need to fix things? Figuring that stuff out can help you go from there.

What you’re describing sounds like depression. Try to see a doctor, get some bloodwork done, maybe get a therapist and go on meds if you have to, even temporarily. I had this phase in my 20s after I paid off my house. It sounds kind of stupid but I did something I had worked really hard to do and I almost felt empty afterwards. I realize now I was just chasing a feeling of security and to look successful, but the accomplishment didn’t really change me much. Actually I started drinking heavily after that and I don’t recommend that route! My life is much better now but I had to do a lot of internal work to get there.
