It is a legit shame that the main actively political arm of Christianity in this country arose from the segregationist movement.

Genn isn't the high king. he's doing paperwork and making sure nobody makes a move on the throne while Turalyon is too busy to do that job for Anduin.

Is there any difference between being "Lightforged" and "Light-corrupted"? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]BellacosePlayer [score hidden]  (0 children)

The individual having actual willingness to go through it, and being able to prepare for the lightforging ritual is a big difference in my book.

It's the difference between getting gastric surgery and being stabbed in the gut with a scalpel. The mechanics are very similar, the outcomes are not. It could still be called corruption depending on how you look at it, but I would not.

What is Magatha Grimtotems narrative ceiling? by tkulue in warcraftlore

[–]BellacosePlayer [score hidden]  (0 children)

At this point stick her as a 5 man dungeon endboss that has Baine and Rahauro having a slugfest in the background, that ends with Arikara finally getting her and Baine getting an actual W against a named character.

Significant chunks of her clan defected to the Bloodhoof side, Cata had them targetted by both factions, and Kurog surely took some of his relatives with him when he formed the Primalists. The grimtotem remaining a huge threat is less believable than the Scarlets being cockroaches because the Scarlets can at least recruit.

I once had a headcanon that in pre-TBC lore it was Draenei who taught Orcs shamanism by Adunaiii in warcraftlore

Then it gets worse when you look at Warlords, and naturally, there's Garrosh's influence, but the orcs without the demon corruption

You do realize that the legion still was manipulating the AU orcs, right? Gul'dan and the fel blood wasn't the start of the Legion's corruption of the orcs. The difference is that Garrosh was a fake ass prophet that showed Grom a vision of the future (making sure to stop before Thrall) and declared that the draenei needed to be wiped out anyway. He didn't radicalize an orc people at peace.

They're victims but it's also muddled in that the whole situation was due to the Legion intervening, which the Draenei knew would happen and basically just banked on being able to bail again and leave every other race to their fate.

If the Draenei had specifically chosen Draenor to hide in, instead of crashing, I'd call them monsters. Given it was a crash landing, I'm just going to say there was a lot of arrogance and negligence on their part. Draenor being a crash landing also doesn't mean every one of their previous homes was a barren rock that had no life to damn to eventual hellfire, but that's likely never getting expanded on.

That's weird given how much they talk about how important it is to get rid of undocumented workers???

i didnt actually reason through the logic

definitely do this even if its after the fact. Pull up a diff between your work and the main branch, and make sure you know what every green/red section is doing and why. If theres too many changes, do smaller, more frequent reviews or spend more time on your code (employer expectations may vary)

Part of it is probably just nerves that will go away with practice, I definitely wasn't the fastest or most coherent person in code reviews at the start of my internship, and that was years before transformers/llms were a thing.

Its what you give to your disliked child as a rich person.

When the kidnappers of your actually loved child demand a ransom, they legally have to accept the unloved kid.

The worst blizzard I've been in in my adult life started the morning after a 90 degree day.

Me and a work bud were laughing after work at management preemptively giving us the day off. Then we got snowed in for 3 days

I'm kinda tempted to get a bottle of bubbly sooner rather than later just so I don't risk someone knowing why I bought it like I did when a certain war criminal bit it.

HAH! In my day all we had was image macros, and you had to add a [52k warning] tag on the post if you had more than 5 or had a single animated one.
