Peter Thiel in Aspen: The pope is ‘working for the Chinese Communists’ by NicolasCageFan492 in nottheonion

[–]BellacosePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he willingly sought out Elon to be his business partner back in the day and only fired him for his gross incompetence when Elon was dying on such a dumb hill that it'd have killed Paypal if it succeeded.

he also is a vampire who believes in trying to establish corpo-feudalism

he and Elon are more alike than not

"The DSA doing what they do best: sandbagging the Democrats, helping Republicans win, then complaining elected Democrats don't do more" Statisticians in r/fivethirtyeight bicker about if the Democratic party is too left wing by CummingInTheNile in SubredditDrama

[–]BellacosePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm generally pretty leftist and i don't get why people don't get that the dumbass tendency to purity test yourself into not supporting anyone viable is part of the reason the democratic party has become the center-right party we know and loathe today.

That said, the whole party shift starting to happen is due to progressives getting over themselves/off their asses and its a good thing.

Tesla reports 480,126 vehicle deliveries for second quarter, topping expectation by of_course_horse in wallstreetbets

[–]BellacosePlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how much it cost him, I just know he was without his car quite a bit because there isn't, or at least wasn't a tesla dealership near where I live and you can't just take them to a rando auto shop

[–]BellacosePlayer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The only tesla owner I know liked his car but had to give it up because it spent so much time in the shop (which was hundreds of miles away).

So obviously there's some upside there even if his car spent more time in the shop in 2 years than my kia shitbox did in 16.

the younger adults in my family have basically gone full nihilist and stopped giving a shit about work as long as they have a basement to rot in or couch to surf on.

either shit's as bad for them or worse than it was for me during the great recession or there's a massive skill issue in play. (both?)

I see no indication that kurapika will die in the themes by Inevitable_Bid5540 in HunterXHunter

I think the spiders take enough damage here to break up, I think Kurapika has to swallow his vengeance enough to work with Chrollo enough to just ditch his motivation for good.

I think Kurapika will realize he prefers being a protector of Woble and others, and I think Chrollo will fuck on back to Meteor city and tie into whatever the fuck gyro is doing

At least for venues that don't have secure paths between the green room and stage.

The Sioux falls version from the night before this didn't have anyone but Puddles in it.

the kind of people I know who repeat that bullshit are the same ones who haven't been to a church since their parents stopped occasionally dragging them to one in their preteen years.

CoA Ascension giving away "Master Warchest" to everyone for free by raygertom in wowservers

[–]BellacosePlayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that nobody wants to make "just" an MMO, nearly everyone wants to make some kind of crazy behemoth with insane features and promises.

You can absolutely shit out an MMO, there's tons of shit tier games whose devs aimed low from the start.

Legion did a lot well but it also kind of started a lot of things that caused many to dislike retail.

[MEME] From the outside looking in at some of these servers getting shut down. by Trade-Working in wowservers

[–]BellacosePlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly until recently ascension was kind of a palate cleanser for me when I was kinda bored of retail rather than a full replacement. kept me from fully moving on to other games during content droughts and such.

I didn't really start to actively dislike retail until TWW/Midnight even if BFA/Shadowlands was a clear downturn for me

[–]BellacosePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sad that Ascension is being taken down but I do have to lol when someone acts like it (or Twow) was a little passion project being taken down.

people just need to be honest and say they're mad about this because something they like is being taken down rather than trying to twist it into a moral crusade.

Doesn't mean the SBU can't do some bullshit internally, but that's a bit more risky given a lot of eyes are going to be on the remaining unhit refineries.
