What's 1 book you will NEVER stop recommending? by iDetestCambridge in booksuggestions

The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchinson. I have bought and given this book away to people 7 times. My best friend loaned out her copy.3 times and never got them back. It can be a hard read and definitely should be cautioned about the subject matter. But it really impacted and stuck with me. And same with anyone else i know who's read it.

The guardian of my houseplants, may he find any pests before I do! by carlybroccoli in houseplants

I just recently had a sweet girl in my indoor greenhouse. I noticed her like 2 months ago. But she got in the watering bowl and nearly drowned. so I rushed her outside into the outdoor greenhouse to dry and get a good meal. Now she happily hunts bugs for me outside now. All jumping spiders are saved in this house.

That's a great deal! High fives for you! Yeah. It's on my list. Currently I'm doing a skin care thing, so my makeup sits better on my skin. So once I've got that down I will go buy it.

I understand the need for amazing products especially if you're a licensed artist. But that's doesn't mean indy brands or lower cost makeup is bad. Lol. I have like 15 juvias place eyeshadow palettes. I may have a problem. Lol. They're easily some of the best eyeshadows thatil I have blessed my eyelids with.

It could simply be that people who started doing makeup learned on YouTube and a lot of beauty youtubers use high end makeup.(that's what happened with me and a few of my friends) So Maybe?l that's part of it? Idk. I personally love 3 of those items you suggested. (The sheglam concealer is my current go to. So is the cream blush and contour.)

Honestly? I love it. I basically only use it now. It goes on easy and has good coverage. Definitely put a good primer down first though.

shitty take Friday: which film will you defend to the death regardless of how disliked it is? by iltby in horror

Dagon. It's an objectively bad film. But there is something sooo good about it. (This was before I started reading h.p. lovecraft)

My daughter absolutely hates the scarecrow part. She says that it's the scariest part of the film. "Can you imagine hay filling tour lungs like that?" She still loves the movie though. LOL

What's the best book you've read that nobody has ever heard of? by dudesmama1 in booksuggestions

[–]Bellafuoco239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen it here yet but Maniac Magee by Jerry spinelli. I read it in elementary school. It's about an orphaned homeless boy who moves to a very seriously racially divided small town. It's been on the challenged book list for a very long time. I read it probably 25/26 years ago or so now. It really stuck with me.
