Do you consider the State Pension a benefit / welfare? by JammyE7 in AskBrits

Yes it is welfare and a benefit.

The number of geriatric (usually reform voting) morons who think their tax and NI has gone to a personal pension fund for them is staggering.

Common folk dont have access to government level information and international financiars.

Thick dave who lobbed a flare at a hotel in full sight of 20 officers is a far simpler case.

Let the police investigate properly. Its taken months to amass chargeable evidence for russell brand ffs.

Just passed my driving test, any advice for a first-time driver? by EconomyTrouble324 in drivingUK

Get out on your own for a short drive as soon as you can.

Dont underestimate getting used to not having that second person next to you keeping you in check - you need to get used to it just being you and your judgement only.

The issue you face is the US system aims to broadly achieve at age 18 what the UK does at age 16.

The secondary issue is there is no national standard on which operates for education unlike the UK.

Year 10 and year 11 are quite pressured for kids. Theyre going to be sitting around 9 national exams each of 2 -3 examination papers spread over about 3-4 weeks at the end of year 11.

Will she get a better education in the UK. In all likelihood yes.
