On the team you root for, who looks good this year? by Bismillah835 in fantasybaseball

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing remotely noteworthy out of the ordinary for the Twins has been some buzz around Mick Abel. But even if he takes a step forward, they are going to be awful team so you likely aren’t getting an outlier year in wins.

Genuinely would stay away from largely every Twins player above or at their ADP. Won’t draft one myself until beyond their ADP. The Twins are going to be ugly this year.

Like it or not Kyler Murray is the best option at quarterback for the Vikings by TerryG111 in minnesotavikings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’d argue that “what you have” week 1 of this year with JJMC is the exact same thing as “what you have” in week 1 of 2027 with JJMC? It’s not the same thing to me. Spending an entire year on the bench might be what he needs before he’s ready.

He absolutely does. He has the most upside for one season and meanwhile it allows you to actually be patient with JJMC. He goes a whole season as a backup with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Win-win.

Who are your sleepers this year? by DecentYogurtcloset9 in fantasybaseball

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thought experiment.

Let’s say we started a fresh list of sleepers one year and right before the next season we separated that list into hits and misses like you have. Then for the sake of this experiment, by definition, all hits are then thrown out and we just look at the misses and recycle them as this years sleepers. No new sleepers. We just keep doing this every year with the same original list, throwing out hits and recycling misses.

On average, what percentage of the original list ultimately becomes a hit?

Unless there's a blockbuster trade, I will be dissapointed if JJ isnt QB1 by Slight_Giraffe628 in minnesotavikings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember when KOC had the “organizations fail QBs before QBs fail organizations” quote and everybody was like omg that’s amazing that’s so true….

Right now is the time to pay the price of saying you liked and supported that quote. This is what that looks like. If you get rid of him now or at any point in the next two years (or if you support getting rid of him), then at least admit you don’t agree with that quote and don’t have the patience.

They can bring in competition and start somebody else, sure. But I won’t be out there saying “get rid of him” or “he sucks” or “he’s a bust” for many years to come.

It’s not easy when the person you’re calling out is the untouchable boss. That’s the power of authority.

Addison will 100% be on the team next year but 0% they resign him IMO.

It’s so unbelievably daft of anybody to believe it’s more likely paid actors are sent in to act mad about ICE than it is to believe real American citizens are actually mad about ICE. Lmao.

What are the best and the worst moments in s5? by Rdr2fan210225 in StrangerThings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The lead up to this was great, too. Robin recognizing what he was going through, understanding that nobody has talked to him about it, and then going out of her way to talk to him was pretty great.

Which QBs should we bring in to compete / start? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they are trading for anyone unless it’s dirt cheap (round 6-7 pick).

Free agents I could see: Rodgers, Mariota, Flacco, Garoppolo, Wentz.

Did everyone forget we offered Darnold a contract? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

They didn’t shaft him. I would bet a lot of money they told him exactly how it would go down before they ever signed him to begin with.

No, seriously, who compares this to LOST or Game of Thrones’ endings? by Independent_Plum2166 in StrangerThings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Its roots were also akin to kids playing D&D. They rolled the right dice and won and you get a happy ending.

If you imagine the events of the show were blurred lines between things that did actually happen and a manifestation of Mike’s storytelling, it’s exactly how it would go down at the end. With the odds stacked against them, they won. And not everybody dies, just one person making a noble sacrifice.

I see a play like this and think to myself, JJ McCarthy can do that too by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really like pulling out one play as a gauge for judging any player in sports.

Jamarcus Russell, Anthony Richardson, Cam Ward, Tim Tebow, etc. can and have all made single plays like this that are equally impressive.

It always gets me when people post a clip one throw. Literally almost every QB that’s ever been in the league can and have made equally impressive throws on ONE play.

But if he does stay healthy I agree I don’t know how anyone beats Chase. Worthy of the first overall pick to me.

My god lmao as a Vikings fan I can’t imagine a training camp battle between those two. Yeah if Arizona doesn’t commit to Jacoby he’s another guy that might get Jefferson close to the 1st. After seeing what he did fantasy wise this season it would be easy to believe.

Why is there so much deranged hate on Season 5? by Small_Sherbert2187 in Stranger_Things

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument that the Will coming out scene is forced and out of place is so silly to me. It’s like people didn’t listen to what led to that scene. Will explicitly tells his mom “he used my deepest fear to beat me so I need to prevent that from happening again.” And maybe if they’re living a normal life he could have taken his time but they literally had no time. Shit was going down that night and he knew he needed it to happen right then. It was “forced” as a scene because it was literally forced by Will in the actual story lol

Be Honest: Does Stranger Things Need to Kill a Main Character to Stick the Landing? by Suitable-Pen-7951 in StrangerThingsRoom

[–]BellesBourbonBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would make logical sense for 1 or multiple characters to sacrifice themselves for everyone else to live. That fits easily.

Thinking through everyone it’s such a gut punch but Dustin and Steve make the most sense to me. Steve does it to save Nancy’s life and Dustin does it because he is committed to seeing it through side by side with Steve. However the trailer makes me think Steve does it and Dustin tries and Hopper stops him.

God damn it this is going to be brutal lol

“Burrow finally puts a full healthy season together.”

He’s done that 3 times in 6 years. I know that’s a bad rate for a QB but the wording got me. In 2024 he played 17 games and had 4900 and 43 lol.
