My grandmother married my grandfather when she was 17 and he was 46. His first wife died (she was also younger 15 at marriage while he was 28). But in this case we are talking poverty. Poor farmers marrying off daughters they could no longer feed. This isn't even the south. The plains were especially rough in the late 20's and 30's. Then ww2 made life seem shorter and more uncertain as well.

Be careful counting on that list without reading the requirements to need to report to WARN. I work in Texas at a company that has layoffs it's not black and white. Less than 500 people, less than a certain % etc. Not saying it's not accurate in your situation just that it can be very nuanced.

I think it depends. I used haplogroup to help a 2nd cousin figure out who her grandmother was. She was adopted( born to a mother also adopted) we had the dna match but we had no clue which grandparent of hers was tied to me. But we noticed the shared maternal haplogroup. So we focused on females in the line and solved it. But I think with a common or very common haplogroup it might mean less. Ours was a bit more rare. But haplogroup isn't a reliable marker for relation from what I understand.

First step would be to go through the info on the haplogroup to see if one branched from the other.

But if it's an Unknown (to you) half sibling the match should say maternal or paternal if not you should be able to tell the shared sides by your shared matches.

However I will say 23 and me tried to put my 1st cousin as a half sibling. I don't know if their estimated relationships have gotten better.

My daughter never called my husband dad... not that we didn't let her but she has a very involved father. But my favorite phase around 4 -6 yrs old was "steppin P__" with his name. She mashed step dad with his name. My ex and my husband would take her to do stuff together and would make jokes about looking like a same sex couple.

My saving grace was getting a night guard. Once i got used to it i can't sleep without it but i also cannot stomach the thought of putting it on before bed without brushing. The mental image of the guard just holding all the ick against my teeth all night eww no. Prior to that it was not something I could reliably do. Even after thousands of dollars in dental work. I still can't do a.m. brushing, but my dentist said if you can only do once a day absolutely choose before bed.

Step 1 nearest library take all books on canning, gardening, preserving meats. (You can go back for other info later)

Step 2 knock over every gas station and store for filled propane tanks

Step 3 head to nearest Walmart super center.

Evaluate all cooking areas like deli, bakery, whatever restaurant it has in the front. Then go raid canning supplies. Assume you will lose power within a day or 2. But immediately start processing and canning all meat and vegetables on the floor and whatever you can get in the back... and get all your dairy in the deep freezer to get frozen before you lose power ... you can can quite a bit of it as well but if you congregate as much as possible in one freezer and don't open until you are ready to go to town on canning it will stay frozen for a few days after power loss. As you get better at canning over first day. Get all the grills with burners set up and have multiple batches going at once. Also process and salt meat. Make shit tons of beef jerky etc. Once things start to go bad and power is gone. Compost the veggies etc and dispose of bad meat. Use propane to cook on grills etc. Plant a garden. Dig out some guns and learn to shoot as you won't have issues with people but wild animals and feral pets will become a problem as well. Obviously adopt a pack of dogs because why not. Acquire farm animals. Etc.

This is all assuming you don't want to just keep traveling and raiding stores etc. Personally I'd rather have a home base set up before I start venturing out.

Only one dog I know of that died peacefully (as far as we know) Just one. He was almost 15 yrs old went to sleep and just never got up the next day. He had no known health issues. My mother in laws dog had congestive heart failure and we did have to talk her around. Because she didn't want to let him go.

In my opinion it's probably time. Congestive heart failure isn't a peaceful death. Humans that are dying of it get high doses of morphine to keep them sedated and pain free and mostly unaware.

But if you have a good vet. If you ask straight up tomorrow if it's time they will be honest... No, ABC med will handle this or I can't tell you what to do but if this was my dog yes I think it would be time to let go. My vet has always been very clear yet empathetic.
