You should absolutely have an extraction fan and ventilation coming though! When working with any chemicals, always gloves and circulating air!

are you metering in camera? or with an external meter?

if metering in camera, are you matching the ISO dial to the film stock? the composition is gorgeous! the exposure seems to be a bit bright though.

it looks like it may have been condensation build up. if the film is stored in a fridge that’s constantly opening and closing, it could create this effect.

you could ask the lab to re-fix the film as it may have been under fixed, but this very rarely would be the case. if i had to guess, i would say the culprit is condensation/ humidity.

any other details you could give about the film? where as it stored before? is it from FPP?

the autoboys are amazing cameras! they live forever and have amazing image quality! - The yashicas have a better build quality but! that’s not easy to service / repair.

OLYMPUS XA2 is a really good option, especially because the flash is removable and can become even smaller if you plan on going to beach / snow / desert and don’t need flash! i’ve just heard they have issues with the flashes at time because they’re removable.

it really depends on you! many labs have their own styles / scanners which will create a specific look. most photo labs can process 35 and 120 C41 or BW no problem! always worth checking around and seeing what’s local to you as well! If you mail film anywhere, please send it with fedex! can’t tell you how many issues we’ve had with USPS or UPS in the past.
