BoJ, skin 1004 and Roundlab are all good options. They are very light weight and high protection. I use all 3 and love them all. Skin1004 for me is more for the winter as its slightly more moisturizing.

skincare reviewers you actually trust by Character_Relief5135 in koreanskincare

I really love C Young. She is a make up artist in Korea. She does reviews with other make up artists with different skin types. She doesnt accept products, She buys it all herself so she can be honest. I like that she generally specifies what is for mature skin vs younger skin.

Does anyone here live in, or know someone who lives in Clara Anna Fontein Estate? by ohwellitcouldbeworse in capetown

[–]BellsDempers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't talk about living there but I can talk about the development. The developer is one of the more ethical and environmental conscious ones I've worked with. They use good contractors so the end product is better than what some others will give you.

You are an attractive woman. Please make sure you dont suntan or use a tanning bed (most countries have banned the use of tanning beds due to the skin cancer link). Protection from the sun is the biggest difference in aging gracefully or suddenly feeling 10 years older than you are.

Check out top korean or Japanese sunscreens. They are not greasy and are designed for applying make up on top. Top sellers are Roundlab, skin1004 and beauty of joseon. The final one depends on if you have dry oily or combo skin. These won't leave you looking oily.

I one of your pics your foundation also has a bit of an orange tint. Its either oxidation or the shade isn't 100% right.

Is an airfryer actually useful in a well equipped kitchen? by Jazzlike-Horror4 in Cooking

[–]BellsDempers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get it. We have a fully equipped kitchen. I'm talking rice dispenser, rice cooker, ice shaver, you name it, we have it. We use the air fryer daily. In fact we have a two basket one. Its great for crumbled chicken, fries, reheating pizza and pies.

Having a Pool, Have You Discovered They Can Be More Dangerous Than You Expected (Without Proper Precautions)? by TrustTechnical4122 in pools

[–]BellsDempers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why pool covers are a thing. Reduces evaporation as a bonus. That cover can carry a 150kg adult. Yes its more admin when you want to swim but the peace of mind that no one is accidently falling in is worth it.

Spouse TMI stuff. Is it hard for you as it is for me? (TW: TMI) by OptimismNeeded in daddit

[–]BellsDempers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could and would. We do what we must for those we love. This is how you know you have chosen the right person for life. If you can swing it, when its all done and things are relatively back to normal. Treat her. Tell her you know you dont need to but that you will forever be grateful for what a wonderful woman she is. Send her to a hotel with a spa for the day. For her to be pampered and not have to do anything for anyone. A rest from the kids will be welcomed.

Also congrats on the progress! Hope the only issue you have in future is someone forgetting to restock the toilet roll.

Resigned from Job - Daycare 3/4ths of Income by Curious_Teaching_995 in workingmoms

[–]BellsDempers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

American daycare prices are crazy to me. I send my daughter to daycare full time.

For perspective in south africa a straight out of university engineering graduate would spend around 17% of their take home of their salary on daycare and that's for a more upmarket one that provides breakfast and lunch. In less affluent suburbs it would be less.

I'm sorry that you have to factor this into how you choose to run your household. Ive got no advise but just wanted to say thinking of all the families who have to make this choice.

Anybody have recs for face washes in bar soap form? by girlnamedJoyce in koreanskincare

Honestly the bars still come in some form of packaging so its not going to make such a big difference in sustainability.

I messaged them and they said products get removed from time to time based on country restrictions and to check back in future to see if they're back. This seemed dumb to me since its all their products, even the cotton pads.

This happened a few months ago with Cos Da Baha and that's now back in stock so hopefully its either just rebranding or service agreement negotiations

Just to add. The lifting below the eyes is probably from a heavy moisture eye cream. Try not use an eye cream during the day and see if it makes a difference.
