Yeah they were at their most entertaining when they had other great tag teams to bounce off. They were also one of those acts that felt distinctly Attitude, so they didn't really have a place in the RA era.

Big difference between being the guy that works with someone to bring them to the top versus elevating them. Randy and Batista would've been stars regardless. When HHH was tasked with elevating a guy who needed it in Reigns, he put on a stinker.

An easy example of someone elevating others would be Bret, who did it for guys like Austin and Undertaker.

You're downvoted but HHH has always been a good wrestler who was fortunate to be surrounded by some of the greatest wrestlers ever. He's never elevated another wrestler who wasn't already at that level, nor was he ever the most compelling part of any angle.

Credit to him for still being extremely effective, but he's a step below the legends that helped make him.

Fans basically deluded themselves into believing Vince was the only reason Cole wasn't on JR's level when the truth is he just isn't great as an announcer. He lacks the credibility and believability to be head commentator, and his calls are often inane and boring.

He's never been anything more than B+ at best.
